We stopped by Playa Bowls on the 4th of July and it was the perfect festive treat! The place was packed — full of energy, music, and summer vibes. Despite the crowd, the staff was super upbeat and handled everything smoothly. We ordered their summer special bowl and a smoothie, and both were delicious and refreshing — exactly what we needed on a hot holiday afternoon. The fresh ingredients, vibrant colors, and beachy decor made the whole experience feel like a mini tropical escape. Can’t think of a better way to celebrate summer. Highly recommend!

While my initial experience was extremely disappointing as i had received 2 melted bowls, management has been exceptional at addressing and rectifying this issue. Updating my review as a thank you to Connie for writing back to me and ensuring this was addressed. Will give these ladies another go next time I visit wildwood, but for now, until next year! Hoping it was just a hot one (which the week was!) and their freezers couldn’t keep up.

Staff were nice, service was quick, can’t complain. Great breakfast spot, especially if your in a hurry but have enough time for something prepared. I recommend their Banana Nica bowl. It was really good.

I go here all the time and have been frustrated recently with the service and food. I have worked on the Boardwalk for six or seven years. I used to love playa, but the service is becoming weaker. The staff is all minors and they’re not working efficiently, to put it bluntly. The slow process and lack of urgency has lead me to receiving soup bowls the last 3-4 times I went. I never say anything but today I got halfway through my bowl and changed my mind. This is annoying and I am going to say something. I know my bowl is half eaten, but believe me there was not a frozen part to it from the first bite, and I started eating it as I was walking back to my job, aka the second I left playa bowl. I’m frustrated because this was a favorite and one of the only healthier options on the boardwalk.
Also, separately, once I brought up working on the boardwalk for the boardwalk discount and they questioned me like I was lying which was crazy. Told everyone at my job about that.

Absolutely LOVED this placed. We got the pacific green bowl, the dragonberry pitaya bowl, and the açaí smoothie. They were all super good and the bowls were big and kept us filled for a while. Super refreshing on a hot sunny day and a great way to get fruits and fiber in.

This Playa Bowls location was a great stop on the Wildwood Boardwalk. They offer fresh fruit bowls mixed with choices of acai, coconut, banana, oatmeal and other options as well as smoothies. We ordered the Stupid Cupid, tropical Bowl, Strawberry and Banana Smoothie and an Oatmeal Maple syrup with brown sugar bowl. All were very good and fresh. The Oatmeal bowl was only half full which is why I gave the four stars. Otherwise pleasant staff and very good and healthy. Would recommend visiting when on the Wildwood Boardwalk.

Very fresh . Some of the girls don’t seem friendly and when you ask a question they kinda seem annoyed. Other than that taste great and good amount for the price you pay. I live on the island and will be coming here all summer.

I’ve had a lot of playa bowls in my life, but this was the worst experience of my WHOLE LIFE. I got a 2 regular açaí bowls and the workers were on their phones the whole time and very rude to me. When I got my açai bowl, it was melted like SOUP already. I paid extra for a banana on my açai bowl, but they gave me barley any bananas. We wanted to take it to go, but they didn’t give us bags or lids. I don’t feel like paying $28 for melted soup,no lids,no bags, barely any bananas, and poor customer service!

I went here with my two children instead of getting ice cream. We all wanted a bowl with banana base. The young woman at the counter said “no we are out of that we are closing soon with an eye roll”. I said “what about the gigantic pile of bananas behind you?” Then she said “nooooo, we only have other bases right now the machines are all clean and we are closing now in two minutes”. I guess it wasnt worth it to make three more bowls.

It’s sad that in the beginning of summer they are turning customers away. I guess they are killing it financially. It’s good for me and their competitor Aloha who also makes bowls across the way because I had their monkey bowl and they happily accommodated us.
