Nice atmosphere. The food is very yummy but a bit pricey. It is definitely worth it for a snack. I must say that the staff maybe the most unfriendly, negative people. They barely spoke to us, and were not nice when they did. I would definitely try this again but not this location

Service has gone down consistently since covid.
I had to wait for the lovely ladies behind the counter to finish talking among themselves, totally ignoring the customers, treating the people on line as an inconvenient interruption or an annoying after thought, as they waited for a lull in their own conversation to tend to the customers. There was 1 person really attentive & basically doing all of the work & it was the only guy there. Wouldn’t be surprised if he quit by now, he was doing the job of 3 people, while the rest of the people working were totally immersed in their socializing w/themselves & 2 others that came into visit. Its obvious the owner is completely disengaged.

Playa Bowls in Ridgewood is my go-to spot for Acai bowls! Always fresh, flavorful, and super convenient. I grabbed my favorite—the Aloha smoothie—and it was incredibly refreshing. They offer a great variety of bowls and smoothies, so there’s something for everyone. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and craving something tasty and healthy!

The staff was rude and I didn’t receive what I ordered. When I expressed it was incorrect I was given an attitude and told it was right even though it was not. Waited long for my two items and four orders before me was made and given and I still was waiting. The staff asked me three times what I ordered. Talk about miscommunication. Also very unprofessional having staff members off the clock making bowls for themselves and friends. She expressed “working off the clock.” I will definitely not return to this location. Shoutout to Hackensack for always being my number one spot!!!

I love the açaí bowls!
It’s a good portion and makes me satisfied
I don’t really feel good vibes but the decoration is surf style and cute! I appreciate workers who make good looking açaí bowls ✨ ‍♀️ ️

This place makes exceptional acai as well as other types of bowls with many topping varieties. I am bothered by there not being an easy parking option and the wait times have been long each time, so I order way before getting there.

Love, love, love this place. So many options and I haven’t had a thing I didnt like. Mixing bases is the best thing and all the vegan replacements are amazing. I love the coconut base with spirilina. The acai is also good mixed with any other base or stand alone. The pitaya base is good but alittle bland to have on it’s own, def mix with something. Cant wait to try something new next time.

Today I went to the playa bowls in ridgewood and the second we walked in we knew it smelled like rotting fruit, but we figured maybe it was the garbage. We placed an order for 2 bowls (one of which had pineapple allergy restrictions), but when we received our order it was covered with pineapples. Again, giving benefit of the doubt, we kindly asked them to remake it due to the allergy. We then got the order back and drove home. Once we got home and began eating, we found a small larvae-like worm on the strawberries. Unfortunately, we were unable to contact the store, so we left an email with a description and photo. Safe to say that we were more than disappointed and honestly just grossed out. We gave them 2 tries, but the bug was the 3rd strike for us. We asked for a refund, but have not been responded to yet. Would not go here.

I asked for an order yesterday and never arrived and I was still charged… I was trying to communicate with them but they don’t just answer their poor service answerer.
