6/14/23 at 5pm. Was given an abysmal amount of Nutella in my bowl. After asking for a little more since it was a drastically smaller portion given than normal (it’s apparent by the pictures in other reviews) the workers insisted this was the normal amount given and would have to charge extra. Extra for the same tiny amount they gave? That’s ridiculous. Extremely disappointed because I get this exact order at this location often.

This review is directly for the Chelsea the manager at hoboken playa bowl. Yesterday I was upset with my order and it caused me to write a bad review and Chelsea seen it and asked for me to reach out to her directly to resolve the matter and she did just that the service she offered me was awesome and i told her that i would delete the bad review and in fact write a good one based off her service and im doing just that.. Thank you sooooo much Chelsea at Hoboken location

This place is started to suck real bad they have very bad customer service first cashier walk away until he was ready to take my order then i ask for no blueberry add banana but when I try to get the other attention, he just turned around and kept walking. Also, the music was so loud I don’t understand how they can even take orders or how anyone sitting there can have a decent conversation without yelling. It’s sad because it’s not like the açai boil is cheap and they’re not paying for it. I am with the customers management needs to retrain their workers because I’ve worked in restaurant for almost 15 years and there no reason for them to have attitude for no reason sad

the cashier had a horrible attitude & my food was late. I was trying to order a custom bowl and said the base first but she yelled at me and told me to list the toppings first so I did & at the end when I mentioned that I want a mixed base she made a face and said I should have told her earlier. (you told me to list the toppings first??!) Such an attitude. Idk how busy you are with online orders but you should treat your in-store customers better.

The poke is delicious. It’s super fresh and the salmon is sushi grade. We got the salmon avocado bowl and it was just great. Giving 4 stars because you don’t get enough protein for the price. Tip: for an extra dollar or two, you can ask for extra protein.

Personally, I will never go to the Hoboken location again. The girls there look like they don’t even want to be there. It’s April 14th today btw, in case the manager happens to see this review. I came in around 1pm to order two small smoothies and didn’t leave until almost 40 min later. The young lady was taking order after order and making everyone else wait for theirs. And to make matters worse, the smoothies weren’t even made properly. Either this location needs all new employees or they need more people on the mid day shift. But something’s gotta give because the service was terrible.

Ive been going to the Playa Bowl in Hoboken for 5 years, and I think im going to take a break. Post pandemic the service is real shotty. I think they are having a hard time keeping workers. They were also a bit rude today, extremely slow and got my order wrong again. Dine in tables were also in need of cleaning. I hope they get their heads togeather soon, but it’s not worth the cost of the food in the mean time.
