I heard about this place from a friend and it’s near my work so I thought I would check it out.
I’m always up for trying something new and love healthy food.
I tried a coconut bowl with Nutella swirled over strawberries and banana on top. (Not sure which bowl it was. It’s a little confusing how many different options there are. The coconut base was recommended to me).
The quality of the food was excellent- very fresh!!
Environment is really fun. The decorations are nice. Kind of feels like you’re in San Diego or something.
The people working there are very friendly.
I liked the way the bowl I ordered tasted, it was very sweet, and, like I said before the ingredients very fresh. The coconut base tasted like a coconut sorbet. The portion was large. Really too much for me to eat and it was very very sweet, I am a registered dietitian and I love sweets, I am in no way against eating sugar or treats, but this was just a little much for me. I think if I were to shop here again, I would split a bowl with someone and it would be a dessert, not a snack or a meal.
I’m wondering if there are ways to make it a little less sugary and higher in protein, so it could be a meal replacement on an active day at work.
I did see the protein bites in the cooler, but I couldn’t read the ingredients on the label. It was very small.
Also I love chia pudding and am bad at making it. Whole Foods used to sell it but no longer and the only place around here I know to buy it is La Qchara in Melrose. I would buy chia pudding here if that was on the menu.

my friends and I go to playa bowls all the time. whether it’s the summer or the dead of winter, these delicious bowls of fruit hit just as good. besides the bowls themselves, whenever we enter the restaurant we immediately get transported into the tropics and are greeted my kind and speedy service.

I’m so glad I finally tried Playa Bowls! It is such a fun place! The service is quick and the bowls are worth the price. I ordered the electric mermaid pitaya bowl and loved it!

Everytime I go there they get it wrong, it’s annoying because I specifically tell them, and then they barely fill it up with ACUI so I ask they were like that’s how we always do it but it’s not because they give u way more, they did not even fill it half way, this place is not good don’t waste your money all they do is get it wrong and not help you or fix it, I asked them to fix it the correct way and they still got it wrong, that’s so simple and they get it wrong, trust me people waste of money

Today I came in to redeem my birthday deal and I was greeted with a welcoming atmosphere and a cheerful staff! Firstly, they gave me an extra no charge bowl of strawberries and Nutella! Secondly, they sang me happy birthday and I was overjoyed! Thirdly, they dressed up in fruit costumes and asked to take pictures with me! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at now my favorite açaí location and I highly recommend going here!

Love the food here, but lately the service hasn’t been the best. I had 2 workers who used to know my order and always greeted me, but I haven’t seen them as of recently. Also, ever since I started coming here I have loathed the trash situation. I have always had to bring my trash home due to how disgusting the trash is. Nobody wants to touch that. I don’t know why they can’t have hands-free trashes.

The açaí bowls are always delicious and staff is always so nice. They keep the store clean so it’s great to eat in or out.

This is a really great spot. My family likes açaí but I much prefer the coconut bowl. The fruits are always fresh and everything takes great. They also have great customer service. There was an error with my order but I didn’t realize until I got home. They were so kind they even gave me a refund. Truly, this is a great gem – great pricing and love the variety of the menu.

Full disclosure: I can only speak for the smoothies! I love açaí bowls and smoothies and have been struggling to find the perfect peanut butter banana chocolate smoothie-until now! It is the Dolce smoothie and addicting!! I’ve had several times and been meaning to try other things there but can’t not get this!!perfect combination of the flavors and smooth consistency every time!!
