This is a cute casual place. It kinda is a beach theme, but also has movie posters. It’s a little corny but it’s a nice laid back vibe and the service is excellent. Everyone was so friendly and the food came out fast. Food is expensive for the portion size but it was tasty. The Coca Cola short rib tacos were excellent. On the small side but the meat was super flavorful and sweet from the cola, very tender. The fish tacos were okay, pretty soggy and not very crispy. Def get the cola taco if you come here! Nice to go to before or after a show at the beacon theater. I also like how they give complimentary chips, and the chips were very good, salty but not too salty.

Mikayla and Al did a fantastic job and made our evening at Playa Betty’s really special.
They were kind enough to treat us to a horchata rice pudding, which was super delicious.
The fish tacos and shrimp tacos are a must try and tasted incredibly fresh.
The chips were warm and perfect and the drinks were delicious.

the tacos are delicious CHICKEN TINGA ENCHILADA , the chips and Austin style queso are a must. Churros is delicious too

Really solid tacos. I was a bit worried that the Taco Dinner would be too much food, but two tacos left me wanting a bit more. My friend also said that this is one of the few places that she can get real Austin-style queso.

I had the loveliest experience! Came here before a show and our server, Souleymane was so lovely – The service was exceptional! We told him we had a time crunch, and he brought our food and drinks out within minutes. $4 tacos on taco Tuesday too! Such nice people, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere.
