Absolutely AMAZING!!! Their selection of salsa were delicious, as well as the chips.
The seafood chimichanga was SO YUMMY, the shrimp was bursting with flavor. The crab was subtle, but tasty. As a shrimp enthusiast, I would pick the Shrimp chimichanga next time!
The UCM burrito was a very interesting mix of flavors but all mixed together great!

Very clean, good atmosphere, with quick and friendly service from staff. First visit, and was very surprised to find my meal had its own unique flavor compared to other Mexican restaurants I’ve been to (a lot), shows me they put effort into their recipes and care to make a meal special for their customers. I will be back!

Highly recommend. Best chips and salsa I have ever had, and I am a bit of a chip snob. Excellent service and very reasonably priced. Will be our go to Mexican restaurant from now on even though it’s 45 minutes away. It is well worth the trip!

Adding my voice to the chorus of glowing 5-star reviews! I visit Warrensburg regularly to see my friend, and found myself in need of a good hot meal before driving back home on a cold night. Based on the reviews, I decided on Playa Azul and the good things said by others before me were all found to be true!
The chips. Heaven help me. I could not stop with those and they sent me home with a bag too. They are dangerously good. It’s probably a good thing that I need to drive a couple hours to get more. I might need more obstacles between me and the chips.
I don’t know what they are doing to the shrimp but I hope they never stop. Do yourself a favor and get something with a ton of shrimp on it. I got some kind of house special fajita with everything on it. It was great but I loved the shrimp portion the most so for me personally I would probably get the shrimp fajita next time or anything extra shrimp-y!
The food was all piping hot, delicious, and satisfying, and the service and atmosphere were great. I will most certainly be back for more.

Shrimp fajitas were a great portion size. Children’s chicken quesadilla was a good size and great texture. Staff was friendly, polite and made sure to keep the little one safe around the sizzling fajita platter.

Stopped in for dinner on a work trip after being recommended to try Playa Azul. We were seated right away despite a busy restaurant. Staff was fast and friendly. Ordered a margarita, which was only $5.99! Also got a burrito. Food came out quickly and was delicious. I will definitely come back if I’m ever in town again!

Delicious Chiles Rellenos, strong Margaritas, and upbeat music! I felt like I was in a quinceañera! As a hispanic, I would recommend this restaurant if you’re craving authentic Mexican Food. The staff was super nice and even gave us oranges for my 1 year old who wanted my oranges off of my Margarita. I wish I had my phone while in the restaurant to get pictures of the food and drinks everything was very traditional to what I’ve seen in authentic Mexican Restaurant. Will definitely be returning when the craving for comfort food kicks in.
