Was looking for fried okra and some BBQ Stumbled into this place along Riverfront Market Place. Was late in the day, so they were out of everything. Very sweet young lady recommended and let me try the smoked beef tips. Those and the chicken were actually quite good. Pulled pork lacked both smoke and flavor other than the little bit of BBQ sauce on the bottom. Mac and cheese was just okay. Will definitely get there earlier next time to give this place a fair review!

During our short stay in Little Rock, we went to the River Market District for the first time. After checking out the market area, we decided to get a bite to eat. We entered Platnum BBQ after walking through the food court. As we were reading the menu, a young man came from behind the counter with a couple of brisket samples. That’s it…we were sold. We ordered a brisket sandwich with sweet potatoes as a side to share since we wanted to eat light. Everything was delicious. And everyone on the other side of the counter was helpful, attentive, and personable, too. Thank you all at Platnum BBQ for the tasty lunch!

My daughter Jocelin introduced me to an awesome, down home spot where I literally inhaled the three meat combo and fought the temptation to lick my fingers.
I opted for their tender brisket, juicy sausage and fall off the bone ribs with creamy/chunky potato salad and collard greens like my mom and aunts made them.
The in-house made strawberry lemonade is addictive.
You can tell by the photo that everything was made with love and a connection to the ancestors. As a result, I was told the flow of customers is constant in a downtown with dozens of choices.
Pure excellence and the vibe and decor is spacious yet intimate. When in Little Rock you gotta check out Platnum BBQ.

I am not normally big on BBQ. However, it smelt really good. Found the store to be very clean, and the staff very friendly.
The music was good, just a little loud for my taste. Found the store to be very clean.
Decided to grab the brisket sandwich and fried okra. Both were packed full of flavor! The sauce, I must say, was really good. The fresh lemonade was excellent!

Visited the platnum BBQ for a quick bit. The cashier recommended the shredded beef brisket sandwich with a side of beans which cost me $18.99 after tax. Honestly I was not really impressed with the sandwich for these reasons:
1- The sandwich was full of bbq sauce.
2- The sauce is a little too sweet for me.
3- There was no pickles.
4- The bread was soggy.
5- The meat was cold.
Furthermore, I asked for a fountain drink cup and they gave me a large plastic container. As a business, this is not acceptable for two reasons:
1- the plastic container you gave was more expensive than a paper cup.
2- I had to throw out my drink because it did not have a lid.
Finally, I will say the customer service was great! The individual who helped us was welcoming, friendly, and easy going.
The big question is, will I visit again??

Wasn’t too impressed with the BBQ itself. We had the brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. Both meats were a little bland and absolutely needed bbq sauce to have flavor. When I got home I realized they charged us $2 more for the pulled pork sandwich than was stated on the menu. So not sure what that was about. Love the location and the staff were nice but unfortunately for being called platinum BBQ I was expecting something a bit better than what I was given.

Oh I have been waiting to write this review. I was with my sons, who are in their 20s, when we picked up the heavenly BBQ scent. My sons asked if we could stop for food but we had just recently had food. Matter a fact, we had BBQ the day before but this was something different right here. This was top tier BBQ. The meal was only 51, I believe, for all three of us (before tip). That’s prepandemic prices right there! They ordered brisket, me the pulled pork. Everything was delicious, pronounced natural smoke flavor, nothing was dry, meat was tender, and my son’s ate those sandwiches so fast! For sides, they had Mac and cheese and I had cabbage and sweet potatoes. Portions were generous. I regret not getting the potato salad but my schoicwnof sides were still incredible. I have to go back to try them all. The aroma that fills the air around this restaurant is just hypnotic. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The line moves fast, and you know a place like this will have a line! Plenty of seating both inside and outside.

This is a great spot if you like bbq and are in the area. The prices are reasonable and there were many options for mains, sides, and desserts. The pulled pork sandwich and the sauce they put on it was very good. When I went up to get some peach cobbler, they offered me a fresh sample of beef tips (cooked very well) and I was not disappointed. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and not too crowded despite it being noon. The music was very on point in my opinion. Overall, if you are in the area and looking for some delicious bbq with that home cooked feel, this is the place to go.

This is some of the best BBQ in Arkansas. I’ve tried a lot of places but they don’t have the variety along with quality like Platinum BBQ. The service matches as well. I had cabbage and greens for the sides and both were seasoned well and cooked amazingly. I also had smoked sausage, beef, beef ribs, oxtail and pork ribs. Now let’s be real. The amount of food you get for the price is absolutely worth it! ALL The BBQ WAS SMOKED TREMENDOUSLY AND WAS SOOOO TENDER. If you want good BBQ this is the place to go. They are having smoked lamb next week and I am going.
