Plate 21 is a great rainy-day spot. Cozy cafe feel, but with a lot more space and seating than you’d expect. Their coffee menu is legit, and the espresso was excellent; clean, strong, and well pulled.
The breakfast burrito lived up to the hype: big, flavorful, and came with chips, guacamole, and salsa. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. Everything felt clean and well run. Only tiny improvement would be mixing the burrito fillings more evenly, but I’d still order it again. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.

I stopped in the morning to pick up an orange mocha. I am always intrigued with mochas of different flavors. They have a few other coffee drinks that sound fun and tempting. My coffee was crafted beautifully. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic even at 7am. I wish I had more time to enjoy my beverage in their establishment, just the right mood for relaxing with a cup but had to leave for work.

A must try cafe! Tons of amazing vegan brunch options- I got the vegan breakfast wrap. The wrap it is in had the perfect crisp. I got one of their specialty spring lattes, the lavender lemongrass Jasmine latte, I believe. One of the best coffee beverages I’ve had in a long time. In a quaint, quiet neighborhood, so it is great to eat outdoors on a sunny day. Highly recommend!!

Not a great experience. The staff was not welcoming and the “coffee” was not very good. I ordered a ice cold brew mocha and basically got chocolate milk. It was way over priced $6.50 for a regular size. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere.

Food: unfortunately the breakfast burrito had an odd aftertaste and the salsas weren’t great, so I couldn’t cover up the after taste. Chick fil et sauce did the trick though very inclusive for plant based folks and those with food allergies, including pastries. The brown sugar tart was quite dry sadly, but the flavor was good.
Drink: very good oat miel!

Stopped by for a coffee to go and immediately returned the next day for another. I had great conversations with staff both days, different people were working. We talked to the owner and learned about the community. It was a good atmosphere for meeting someone for a coffee date or sitting and working on the computer. Seems like such a gem in the cutest neighborhood! Can’t wait to go back. Super easy parking out front and everything was clean. 5/5

Stopped by here on a whim and really enjoyed the cute atmosphere. I had a great iced latte and a breakfast wrap that was surprisingly flavorful and had a really yummy salsa on the side. I’ll definitely be back!

Plate 21 is not just a coffee shop, it is a place for community. As a South Toledo staple, they have great coffee, food and welcoming staff that greet you as soon as you walk in the door. I love attending their various community events including book club, run club and weekly yoga. Highly recommend for a breakfast to catch up with a friend (I recommend a breakfast burrito & a brown sugar latte), lunch with a co-worker (I recommend a turkey wrap and peach-pear smoothie) or a glass of wine with your partner on the patio.
