Planter’s Gastropub, located above Restaurant Cotton, offers a diverse menu ranging from pub-grub favorites like burgers, pizzas and hot wings to roasted oysters, as well as a wide selection of beer, bourbon, and handcrafted cocktails.We also offer a boozy brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-2:30pm. Planter’s has a beautiful wooden bar and back bar with antique gilded mirrors and televisions so you never miss your favorite games. Our balcony features one of the best views in Monroe of the scenic Ouachita River. So glad I found this spot on the river and above Cotton. Cool, open air patio/bar overlooking the Ouachita River. Inside high top seating with a vintage dive-bar feel. Love that there always seems to be a bar seat on the rail when I come in, and friendly and attentive waitstaff. The food, flavor and presentation, is very good, it’s a limited but varied menu, and I haven’t had anything that wasn’t tasty. Well worth a stop.

Take the side stairs up & above Cotton restaurant, hang a right, then a left, and another right, where you’ll find one of the best views of the Ouachita river, sip on custom made drinks from excellent bartenders, and enjoy the results of delicious pizza recipes crafted with lots of TLC and attention to detail. The balcony is a great place to watch the sunset over the water or a mardi gras parade cross the bridge. One of my favorite spots in Monroe.

I had a wonderful girl’s night this evening with a friend. From the moment we walked in August, our server, was welcoming and friendly. He was very attentive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed. He truly made the experience!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Cody and Michael were incredible — friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Every drink was perfectly mixed and came out quickly, even with a packed bar. They made everyone feel welcome, remembered our names, and somehow kept the vibe fun and relaxed all at once. You can tell they genuinely love making people’s night better. Definitely the kind of bartenders who turns a regular evening out into a great experience. Highly recommend!

Excellent service from Danielle and August! I’m picky with drinks and Danielle went off-script from the menu to make sure I had something really sweet, just as I wanted it 🙂 If you like sweet drinks asks for August’s key lime pie shots or the bourbon apple – both were delish.
I’m not a fan of oysters by themselves, but mine were great paired with the bread. My yard bird sandwich was nice and crispy, the duck fat fries were on point, and we enjoyed the duck wraps as well. Thanks again!

We came during split shift. We had Cody and August serve us. Both of them were amazing. Our drinks never ran dry and our food came hot. They both gave us exceptional service & Cody notified us before he left to inform us we would have a new server. Our duck wraps and oysters were perfection. I had a lemon drop and honey suckle, both great if you like sweeter drinks. My boyfriend had an ole Smokey and it was soooo good!

From the view, to the atmosphere, to our waitress Faith, to the food… Planters is one of my absolute top 3 restaurants ever! I have eaten across the country at extended places . We’re soo fortunate to have an amazingly talented chef in our little southern nook. The house salad with 2 choices of dressings, also complimented the fries fried in duck fat. The duck wrapped in was more than divine, it was a mouth filled with flavorings consisting of sweet, smoked, crunchy, meaty to savory flavors bursting on your every palate .
The creme brûlée was a light sweet end game to our experience.
I’m leaving the pizza for the last to review. The cheese wasn’t our favorite. After sharing our thoughts with our server, sounded like this is a work in progress. Excited to taste the new oven baked pizza. Overall… we enjoyed ordering a variety of items and sharing them. Thank you ☺️ again
