The food was great and worth the trip – but what really makes this place special is it’s located in the airport just off the runway. If you or anyone you know loves aviation this is a great experience.
We had the clam chowder, turkey club, and Thanksgiving wrap, & potato salad – everything was fresh and delicious. We went on blimp day 5/5!
Yes and it’s great!
My only complaint is the ordering process is quite antiquated. You must wait in line and only one party can go inside to order at a time. Now that it’s cash only, it takes even longer to order – customer giving cash, having to use the ATM next to the ordering table, getting change back, etc. I waited in line for 34 minutes with an infant to place an order, and there were approximately 6-7 parties ahead of me. Online ordering doesn’t work (I tried, I think they must have disabled it when they went cash only August 1st).
Many elderly customers also visit, and I imagine for some, waiting 30+ minutes standing in a line may not be possible. I would therefore recommend going on a weekday when it might be slower if you have difficulty standing for prolonged periods of time. Adding one more person to take orders could be helpful to speed up the process during peak days/times if there is no online ordering option or table service.
