Our table wasn’t available at our reservation time, but we sat at the bar and started on a good bottle of petit sirah. Once our table was ready, service attentive and quick. The baked brie appetizer was sensational. The roast chicken may not sound exciting, but it was among the best chicken we’d ever had. The pheasant pappardelle was great; while the actual pheasant itself was a bit dry, the pasta itself and sauce were excellent. On a recommendation, we finished with a slice of the cheesecake. It was show-stoppingly delicious. You have to try it, even if you don’t normally like cheesecake.
Inside, it’s a cozy, romantic vibe without being overly pretentious. This is definitely going to be one of our special occasion places, and I recommend you make it one of yours as well.

Plan B is consistently excellent, both in the food they serve and the service they provide. It is the gold standard by which we judge other restaurants. We can always count on receiving a phenomenal meal from a small, competent, and dedicated team of consummate professionals. The rack of lamb is by far the best I have ever had, perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned, every time. The halibut is my wife’s favorite dish, and likewise is perfectly cooked and served with an amazing red bell pepper sauce. After a run of trying out several supposedly great local restaurants, we are so grateful for this wonderful establishment.

We visited for my mother’s birthday, and it turned into an unforgettable evening. The staff went above and beyond, even surprising her with a small dessert and candle. Everyone loved their meals, from the ratatouille to the steak frites. The warm, welcoming atmosphere, with its soft lighting and French accents, made the whole night feel special.

I had a long day at work, ate alone, and had a very delicious, filling, and satisfying dinner. My attentive server, Mark, was very informative and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the seasonal gazpacho soup, squash blossoms, lamb chops, and a scoop of gelato for dessert.
I haven’t had the first two courses before. The gazpacho definitely made me wish I opted to dine outside, as it was tangy and refreshing. The blossoms were perfectly crisp and light, if a tad bit spicy. It’s not a bad thing, I just wasn’t expecting it. The ratatouille and potato fingerlings were a bit more on the salty side, but the lamb chops weren’t heavily seasoned so it worked out when eaten together. Can’t go wrong with cinnamon topped vanilla gelato.
I will definitely come back with some others in tow.

Stumbled upon this place and wow! Had all the desserts .. delicious! Drinks were delicious. Service was amazing! Little hole in the wall place but it was packed. Make a reservation in advance or you probably won’t get a table. I will definitely be back to try the food, it looked incredible. Heads up, it’s pricey but worth it from the small taste I had.

Currently our go-to french restaurant in Sacramento. The service is constantly good and the food is spot on. Excellent mussels, rack of lamb, rib eye, creme brulee and chocolate fondant. I got the lobster risotto the last time which was ok for me but my wife really liked it. Prices are also reasonable compared to other french restaurants. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Place looks small inside, and at times when is crowded it can become a chicken coop(noisy). They don’t have a big selection of booze nor beer. On another note, the food was delicious and service was attentive. I would say overall is a good place to check at least once.

This restaurant is one of a kind! I’ve been to many different restaurants and had many different dining experiences, but I’ve never had an experience quite like this one. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. It’s dim lit and sets a perfect tone for a date night. The service was absolutely amazing, and the food was out of this world! Whoever is running this restaurant clearly loves what they do. It is felt all over. I can’t wait to go back, and I’ve been telling everyone to give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed!

Great food went for my wife’s birthday! Escargot wishes were filled and she was happy. Great service sat outside and the weather was excellent. The mussels nantaise were awesome had to get extra bread to soak up the juice.
