First time at plain Jane and it was a wonderful experience. Drove all the way from Vacaville for breakfast, walking into the restaurant the atmosphere is calm and warm and friendly. Got greeted by staff right away and sat in under 1 min. Sat at the table for about 10 min before our orders got taken and then waited around at her 15-20 for our food. Bit longer than I would like to wait when the restaurant wasn’t busy but the food made it worth it. Food came out hot and perfect presentation was perfect. The shrimp and grits was nice and rich plenty of shrimp and a good sausage. The only thing that could have been better was for the grits to be seasoned a bit more. The bathroom was very clean and nicely maintained. 10/10 experience and worth the drive.

This is hands-down my favorite breakfast spot in all of SF. Everything is consistently superb, from the ingredients to the execution. My go-to order is the Big Jane’s Plate. The scrambled eggs are perfectly fluffy and moist, and the potatoes are seasoned just right with that fresh-out-of-the-oven crunch. And the coconut rice pancakes? Unreal. So fluffy and nutty, easily the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Will be going back on a weekly basis!

Ordered a coffee (not the greatest) and went with the Monte Cristo sandwich with greens on the side, which was a great choice. The greens were very fresh and the balsamic was excellent. Whenever a MC is on a menu, I always order one. This place has by-far the best in The Bay.

My husband ordered a Bloody Mary that tasted very fresh, and the accoutrements were wonderful. He also enjoyed the duck hash with potatoes. One small note: the potatoes could benefit from a light herby finish to elevate the flavor, but overall the dish was enjoyable.

This spot absolutely delivers on a classic, satisfying breakfast and brunch. The value is spot-on for San Francisco; you get generous, well-prepared portions without the shocking big-city price tag.
I have to single out the stuffed French toast—it was incredible! Absolutely lived up to the hype and is a must-order.
Be prepared, especially on weekends, as it gets very busy. But honestly, the food is worth a little patience

I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty disappointed. Nobody tells you how SMALL this place is — like uncomfortably small. Every time someone got up, they were basically bumping into my table… at one point someone’s whole backside was on my table. Zero space to move.
My table was wobbly too, which just made it worse.
Service was fast, I’ll give them that. Sat down at 10:02, waiter came at 10:08, took our order, and I was eating by 10:23. But the food was just ok — not bad, not great, just ok. Definitely expected better considering all the tiktok?

Plain Jane is a hidden gem that will capture your heart with its vibrant vibe and delicious eats! It’s the perfect spot for a fun brunch with friends. I recently tried their French toast combo, which features a genius twist with cottage cheese, along with their chicken salad and lobster eggs benedict, each dish was amazing! And the drinks? Absolutely fantastic! The mimosa and pistachio latte are my absolute favorites. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

This brunch was delicious! It was busy and there was a little wait for our food and beverages, but it was worth it. Everything tastes fresh and was displayed beautifully. I’ll definitely be returning!

This is the ideal combination of a greasy spoon and a cafe. The inside is bright and the staff are quick and efficient. The food is expensive but very worth it relative to the other mediocre, overpriced breakfast spots in the city. There were 3 or 4 other parties ahead of us in line and we probably only waited for 15 minutes. Definitely will be back! The rolled cannoli pancakes were out of this world.

We came for brunch on a Sunday @ noon and ordered the red velvet pancakes, the chicken and waffles, and the french toast. Everything was delicious (and not to mention beautifully plated)! The only downside to our experience was the wait—i think we waited 20 minutes to be seated, but it was worth it. I would definitely return!
