So my order was a doordash order. Granted you alway give a little leeway for the delivery and time it takes to get to you, so food may not be exactly same as restaurant. Usually high end meals on doordash are great, this place however was on another level of bad unfortunately. Each item literally tasted terrible or had no taste. The paella had this off putting flavor, couldnt even get a spoon of rice its so overloaded with veggies, there is barely no rice, whatever rice is in there is hard rice and tasted terrible. The salmon was fishy and was inedible, texture smell taste everything is off, and we get alot of salmon ordered from many different places. The duck confit was literally THE WORST i’ve ever had in my life. Smelled and tasted like very old, overcooked dried out meat, and instead of a lovely crispy skin i got a black burnt mess of fat on top, not crispy, literally was not even duck confit, they can’t call it that. The mashed sweet potato side tasted terrible and couldnt get past two bites, plus hard undercooked pearl onions. Dessert was chef special, it was sour tasting chocolate lava cake, evena cheap lava cake is better than this. Truly all around terrible, had to try and get refund from doordash and literally threw everything in the garbage, and about to re order a different dinner. Huge waste of time money and effort. This place shouldnt exist if this is how they make food.

We lucked upon Plado as we were looking for a quick bite before a family event.
The patio was perfect. Our server was prompt and attentive without hovering.
Highlights:
– The Buffalo Mozzarella with melon was superb.
– All together we ordered four plates to share & it was perfect for four people
– The pacing of the dishes were ideal. Trust your server.

Plado Glen Cove is truly a gem! I’ve been here well over a dozen times, and every single visit has been phenomenal—from the food to the service to the atmosphere.
The menu is outstanding: the veggie wings, kale summer salad, artichoke dip, lamb chops, and cocktails are all ridiculously good (and beautifully presented). The pastas are freshly made—especially the pappardelle—and the farro salad, burger, rice balls, and chorizo are all absolute must-tries. Honestly, everything on the menu is delicious!
A special shout-out to our server Christian—he’s phenomenal. His attentiveness and warm energy always make the experience even better.
If you’re looking for incredible food, great drinks, and top-notch service, Plado Glen Cove never disappoints!

It is rare that I submit restaurant reviews, when I do it is because I was treated to an amazing culinary experience. Plado has it all. Warm, cozy romantic urban vibe. The menu caters amazingly to both vegetarians and carnivores. The menu is unique and the food hits every single part of your flavor palette, absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable and we had an incredible taste adventure. It is Long Island Restaurant week and they are offering a special tasting menu. It allows you to capture a few of their excellent menu offerings in one sitting. Don’t let this place fall under your radar. We will definitely be back!!

The service was great and very attentive. The food was quality. My friends and my family were very happy and had a great time. I ordered pasta from the specials menu. However, I don’t think they’ve got the hang of pasta casio pepe just yet. It seemed a bit less than authentic, but it wouldn’t be fair to give less than a 5 star rating as everything else was so good. The prosciutto and cheese platter, lamb meatballs, NY strip steak, grilled octopus, squid risotto, chorizo, were all perfect and delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would gladly eat here again.

Amazing experience. Amazing dishes. Urge anyone reading this to just bite the bullet and check this place out. The executive chef even came over to make sure everything was in order, I will probably return to this place in the future. Oh and definitely get a bottle of wine, it changes the ENTIRE experience! We definitely found one of our new favorite spots. Our server Walter was fantastic, as was the rest of the service. He went above and beyond and was extremely accommodating and friendly without being too much. The atmosphere was perfect whether you were in the mood for casual or dressy. The food was very good. My favorites were the beet salad, crispy artichokes, beef carpaccio, and baked oysters. The desserts were also amazing. 10/10 going back and recommending.

Absolutely incredible! Such a great addition to the neighborhood. The overall experience was great. The dishes are very modern but they have such an authentic Italian base. The homemade panettone also stole our hearts. Props to the chef for making a great menu and the team in the back for such a great execution.
The waiters and staff are also great. We’ll certainly be back soon!

I recently dined at Plado and the experience was fantastic! The food was packed with incredible flavors and everything was cooked to perfection. The duck confit is a MUST. We paired it with short rib. The decor is stylish and adds to the warm, inviting atmosphere. While there are still some small details for the staff and kitchen to fine-tune, it’s clear that they are passionate and dedicated. I’ll definitely be returning regularly, it’s a new favorite spot!
