Best veal cutlet sub or dinner in the area. It is “real” veal cutlet hand breaded and fried. Almost all sub shops cook frozen pre-breaded hockey pucks which are actually pork, not veal. The sauce is very flavorful. You will not find a better veal cutlet anywhere around here. This is not a comfortable place to eat, but i eat it there just because it tastes so much better than taking it home. It is very small with only a few small tables and Very dated.

Best meat pie,spinach pie and beach style pizza on the planet!!!! Born in Lawrence my family has been going here since the 60s. Thankful they are still there. I drive over 25 miles to go back and pack my freezer since I no longer live in the area.

I live in England now, but when we go “home” I never ever miss PJ’s. Peter has kept the quality and traditions of his parents, so the food has the same good taste and good prices as they always have. The meat pie is to die for, and the Pizza is the best “beach pizza” anywhere. Here in England “pies” are a staple of the diet- and my Englishman husband was really impressed with the taste and texture of the meat pie. I wish they delivered- but maybe 3500 miles is a bit much to ask! If you ever aren’t happy with anything, speak to Peter : it’s an old fashioned business with old fashioned values.

The best and only meat pie worth driving to. Nobody makes it like this .the recipe hasn’t changed ever. One of the few childhood eateries left around. Peter the owner is awesome, very friendly and always smiling.
