Came here Wednesday night for ribs – AMAZING! Also got a bowl of their chicken dumpling soup, absolutely stellar!! Our waitress stopped by numerous times checking in. This was our first time visit, we’re looking forward to many more visits.

UPDATE March 2026 – We really like this place.

Best ma and pa shop I’ve been to in awhile.
The buffet is always great as an option for instant gratification. Sometimes it’s pasta and sometimes it’s burgers. The locals were inviting and the staff knew everyone by name!
If I could 5k stars for service I would.
Not to mention the view of the lake the entire time.
I was so excited for food I didn’t take good foodie pic…

Sorry forgot pictures. We had burgers and cocktails It was on at a Saturday night an hour before closing so not many people. I was excited to have real crinkle cut French Fries that tasted great.

Most of the food was flavorful and in excellent portions if you want to bring home delicious leftovers! The chicken dumpling soup was savory and the dumplings looked to be homemade. The ribs fell off the bone and were juicy. The corned beef in the reuben was tender and on buttered toasted rye bread. The fish dinner had 4 large pollock fillets and was nice and crispy. The shrimp&broccoli was generously portioned, but the alfredo base was relatively plain, but not terrible. The salads were fresh and crispy. It had a small town diner atmosphere and everyone was welcoming. If travelling, this is a good place to stop and eat. Be aware that the parking lot is not trailer friendly.

This is not your typical small town diner. It’s a place of community and friendship. This was my first time, but I was made to feel welcome as if I were one of the many regulars. It was on a Friday, so they had the friend chicken and fried fish buffet. All You Can Eat for $12 with a soda and chicken wild rice soup! Unbelievable!!! The salad fixins were fresh, and the chicken was perfect. My friends tried the fish and said it was very good. The soup was outstanding. The place is small but they’ll make room for you. Go support the Mom ‘n Pop places. Have a unique experience, unlike the chain restaurants. So, look the up for hours and go!!!!

The food was great, and the waitress really tried her best. However, the bartender there was a disgrace to his profession. I originally ordered an old-fashioned. The bartender then yelled for the whole restaurant to hear, “Who ordered an old-fashioned!?” He then proceeded to humiliate me in front of the whole restaurant. He said to me, “I’ve been bartending for 40 years, and I just don’t make those anymore.” I then asked for a dirty martini, but I didn’t drink much of this either for the bad taste in my mouth over the horrible service from the bar. If this bartender refuses to make drinks and do his job, then he should no longer be doing it. I felt really bad for the rest of the staff, because the effort that was made by the rest of the staff was great. It’s just too bad that one lousy employee has to ruin it, and the business, for everyone else.

We took my 95 yr old mother out for dinner after church, decided on PJs. Good choice. Maggie our server was great. Our rib eye steaks were made to perfection, mom loved her tiger shrimp. Only knock was we had to wait 75 minutes for our food. BUT, the place was packed. We didn’t care, mom totally enjoyed looking out at the beach and watching the lake activity. With that being said, we will definitely be back.

Went here with my mom and we waited well over an hour for our food which was only a burger and a quesadilla. It should not have taken this long for our food to have been served. It was really ridiculous that we had to wait that long.

We had my dad’s retirement dinner at PJ’s. The staff, service and food was great. The staff was so helpful and offered to help us set up, checked on our table frequently and provided fantastic service. The whole table of 10 enjoyed their meal and you could tell by the atmosphere it was a local favorite. Highly recommend Rick and the crew! 10/10!
