PJ’s Coffee in downtown Rome, Ga. Is a fun stop. Owner Mike greeted me at the pastry cases. He is very welcoming and friendly. The store opens at 5:30 am on weekdays and 7:00 am on Sat. & Sunday. Thank You Mike and your great team for serving the Romans well!

Cons – baristas are not baristas.. they know nothing of the menu nor what goes in the coffees.
I first asked for their special bananas foster iced… looked great on the menu. As I watched them start to make it, I realized the espresso was not being pulled from the machine. I asked and they said it was premade concentrate. I said no thank you and that I would like to have my latte made with fresh espresso pull. They said that most everything on the special menus and their lattes are all concentrated premade… I asked what items on the menu were not concentrated and premade, and they had a very hard time explaining which ones didn’t.
so, I asked her for a latte with vanilla, honey and cinnamon. I asked if her honey was fresh and local and she indicated yes. However, when they went to go make the drink, I noticed that they were doing multiple pumps for multiple bottles. I then asked what flavors that they were Using and they indicated that all the flavors, including the cinnamon and the honey syrup. So no real honey And not real cinnamon. So therefore this is pretty much a place where you can get coffee flavored syrups.

Quest and Consume
Decided to try this new PJ’s Coffee location in the downtown Rome area. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The coffee itself was about what you’d expect from a chain—tasty but not necessarily outstanding or unique. We got an Iced Cappuccino and the Iced Chicory Latte.
It’s a reliable spot if you’re looking for a convenient caffeine fix with a comfortable place to sit. Overall, a good experience and one we’d come back to when in the neighborhood.

We have went by there 4 different times 4 different days and every time we were provided fresh beigneits. Saw some bad reviews and were worried. Didn’t order any coffee only get the 6 count but 4 for 4 so far! They were also kind and accommodating so not sure about the bad reviews on service either. Keep up the good work guys.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and coffee so much!! Our Beignets and croissants were delicious. My husband had a Cafe Au Lait and I must say it was just as good as Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. Very clean restaurant and the staff were so nice. Definitely will be back. Thank you for coming to Rome!

Went for breakfast in the morning to try the famous beignets, was not disappointed at all. Amazing fresh warm beignets perfectly covered in powdered sugar, the barista Shayla was extremely welcoming and helpful with everything. 100% recommend her to be your barista if it’s your first time. Will be returning!

Like bayyybayyy! I had PJs when I.was im Dallas, TX. I had a craving for them beignets again and I drove 45 minutes up the road to satisfy a craving that I was not sure was gonna get fulfilled the way I imagined or experienced in Texas. But the atmosphere, the staff, the food….which I got more then food. I got a velvet ice chocolate & it did not disappoint. May I add that the blueberry muffin was *chef’s kiss*!!! This place will not disappoint and if you’re thinking should you take the drive???? Hell yeah, gas your car up and take the drive. It was worth it

Waiting too long and while was there, they turned away an elderly couple 10 minutes until 6pm. No signage on the building with hours of service.

Here’s my comment and review after getting home.
After I got home the Beignets were not that good, dark and dry. My husband’s voodoo drink tasted like colored water. I wasted $24.00 plus. My frozen coffee was okay but I am not sure if it’s what I ordered.

The employees are all very sweet with good etiquette for dealing with customers. The coffee was wonderful as well at the croissant. The establishment is also very beautiful and exceptionally clean. Definitely will be back.
