The current 4.7 rating is a bit generous. Seems like a small mom and pop type of establishment Food is a 3.5/5. It’s standard decent pizza. It had more of a generi Domino’s-like taste than anything. However, the meat/toppings portions are much more generous compared to others.
The service was a 4.5 out of 5. Nothing negative and nothing exceptional. They got my order right and were polite. Price was reasonable and in line for the area.
The biggest detractor was the atmosphere. The smell of the establishment was unbearable. I wanted to walk out when I walked in because of the smell. The restaurant seemed very clean and tidy but there was this overwhelming smell of what seemed like old grease. I don’t know exactly what it was, maybe the overhead exhaust vents have never been cleaned, I cannot say for sure but it was a strong pungent unique smell. I was there for 5 minutes to pick up a pizza and had to strip out of my clothes when I got home because the smell was stuck to me. The next morning, my car overwhelming smelled like the resturant. Not like pizza, but that old grease smell. If they could fix that the atmosphere would be a solid 4.

My kids and I stopped here after playing at Kids Empire next door. We ordered a half pep and plain and a vodka pizza with chicken cutlets. I’ve eaten at a ton of pizza places all over Bergen and passaic counties and this little place is top of the heap. My god, the pink vodka sauce is exceptional! Where in so many places, the pink sauce tastes very similar to red sauce, this stuff was creamy and cheesy and rich. Covering this pizza was huge thin slices of fresh mozz I’ve never tasted before. It is meant for pizza and had a better pull than traditional fresh mozz I get on grandma pies elsewhere. The crust was baked to crispy perfection that refused to fold yet the inside was warm and chewy. Cotton by Alessio is run by real Italian people and it tastes like it. If you’re far, drive here. If you’re close, make this place a habit.

Pizzi…Cotto By Alessio in Lodi, NJ. Mama Mia…this place is yummy! The vodka sauce is absolutely delish and I loved the pepperoni roll…dipped in vodka sauce. So delish and of course you gotta check out the pizza at Pizzi Cotto! So much to choose from and I love that they are BYOB!

Spotted this little pizzeria and figured I’ll give it a try! So glad I did! The minute I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff, the girl in the front recommended the penne vodka with breaded chicken which turned out to be delicious! As I was waiting for my order I also tried one of the pizza slices that was displayed and it did NOT disappoint, it was crispy and full of flavor. Will definitely be going back.

This pizzeria is owned by a cute elderly Italian couple who are really nice. I have tried almost every pizzeria in the area and this is the best one. Trust me when I say the two on the boulevard (which I shall not name) are overrated flavor wise. Pizza is mostly about sauce and they have the best best tasting sauce. Another plus is their cheese doesn’t taste artificial which a lot do. Don’t go without getting garlic knots for 5 bucks, It’s a bin full of them smothered in raw garlic and oil which tastes amazing. Their prices are great too, especially for a pizzeria using all authentic ingredients.

The pizza here is LEGIT. Thin crust, perfect crunch. Would give the best NY hidden gem/hole in the wall places a run for their money. Super friendly staff to boot.
