After hearing raves from friends and the internet, we decided it was time to see for ourselves. Everyone was right! The Neapolitan pizza was everything we hoped for. Fresh, hot, and delicious. We loved the easy table ordering and payment. The pizzas came out of the wood-fired brick oven and straight to our table. We arrived on a Monday right at 5pm and it was not busy. By the time we left at 6pm the tables were full.

We tried to get in on Saturday night but because of our limited time schedule we couldn’t wait. The place was packed. We heard some good things so we tried again on Monday and got there when they opened and we were seated right away. Prior to entering I met one of the owners, forgive me if I get this wrong but I think his name is Justin. Super friendly and openly gave me a history run down. While inside we order through a super simple app. The pizza came out timely and my son and I truly enjoyed it. While seated Zach, another of the owners stopped by to check in on us. All in all it was a great experience. I highly recommend Tasso. You will not be disappointed.

I was first introduced to Tasso at the Festa Italiana. It was delicious and good quality.
My daughter went with a friend and she brought me a pizza back. It was cold and delicious. The quality was good. She preferred one flavor, and I preferred another.

Pizzeria Tasso has become a regular stop for us. We’ve come here at least once a month for the last year.
It’s hard to find any pizza joint in Salt Lake that comes close to the value. Great Neapolitan-style pizza, relatively fast service, and fair prices.
The Holy Trinity, as I call it.
The ingredients feel fresh, the taste and texture is great, and they always serve you with a smile as warm as their pizza.
The Margherita pizza is our go-to, but I also highly recommend the Diavola, the Garlic Cheese Sticks, any of the Dessert Pizzas, and whatever they’re doing for the Pizza of The Week.
We’ve been coming here long enough to have had 1 or 2 mediocre experiences. Don’t let it deter you if your first visit wasn’t what you hoped for. It was probably an anomaly and your next visit will be great.
Also, if you don’t like Neapolitan-style pizza… don’t come here. If you want some cake-like crust and tasteless plastic cheese, there is a Dominoes and a Lil Caesars close by. But if you want a legit pizza with real ingredients that won’t leave you feeling like a beached whale, then make a visit. I promise it’s worth it.
One note to the restaurant: PLEASE PUT THE PEPE ON YOUR REGULAR MENU! Please! I’m begging. It’s the best pizza you’ve ever made, and only having access to it everyone once in a while hurts me on the insides and the outsides. Please, for all that is Italian and bene in this world, make it a regular option.

Very yummy and authentic Italian style pizza. The crust is perfect, not too thin and not too thick. All the flavors are great. I really liked the Diavola! The Santo Pecorino was this week’s special and it had really good flavor too. The restaurant is very simple, nothing over the top… just good pizza! We went on a very hot summer day and it was pretty warm in the restaurant.

This is some of the best pizza I’ve had! It’s great Authentic Italian Style pizza. The crust was really good and well baked. The ingredients are high quality and taste great. The restaurant is small and cozy, but not too crowded.
Servoce was great and ordering at the table was simple and quick.
I will definitely be making the trip back to this area as the pizza here is amazing.

Great pizza and kind servers. One in our party had previously travelled extensively in Italy and thought it was just as good (if not better) than what she’d had there.
For anyone looking for a quick spot for dinner, this is it. The time it took from parking to getting our food was less than the wait in most drive-throughs. We will definitely be back.
Edit: I had the opportunity to try them from their catering setup, and it’s just as good as in the restaurant!!
