I visited Pizzeria Hortus on Via delle Seggiole in Florence and had a truly positive experience. The staff was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and always attentive to our needs, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The pizzas were delicious, made with fresh and distinctive ingredients that added an original and refined touch to the flavors. The environment was very private and intimate, perfect for a quiet dinner. Although the prices are rather high, I believe they are fully justified by the quality of the products and the excellent service received.

Pan-fried octopus was tender and juicy. The double baked pizza was not too oily and cooked to perfection. Best pizza we had so far in Italy, highly recommend! Friendly service and attentive waiters. Book ahead because there were several people who got turned away.

We booked through the fork so got a 50% discount. Delicious pizzas and good value for money with the discount. Full of locals and not too touristy.
I would Recommend the double fried pizza – we have never tried a pizza like this before it was such a unique dish!
However had to drop a star because the service was very slow and it was unbearably hot in there the air conditioning was poor!

In this pizza restaurant, you’ll surely eat one of Italy’s greatest Napoli style pizzas. It was recommended to us by one of the fine dining Italian chefs.
Compared to what I’ve tired so far of few winning pizzas, this restaurant stands strong among the top ones in the list and I believe they’ll soon be heading their way in the pizza championship.
I pass our appreciation to the great active and attentive customer service team, from greetings and welcoming all the way till departure.

Probably the best overall meal experience we’ve had in 3 weeks travelling Italy. We have gone from street pizza to Michelin star restaurants, East coast to West and Hortus should not be missed. We had a “wine paring with 4 slices of our choice” The pumpkin cream with fluffy ricotta, ham and crushed hazelnuts is a Halloween addition must have. We also had the fried buffalo, zucchini flower and a yellow tomato sauce to die for. The service was attentive and friendly. We felt welcomed into the heart of the Hortus family. The booking system to make a reservation showed they were booked out but we walked over and were able to get a table so I suggest trying even if the system says they are fully booked. From a total foodie who has dined all over the world I would suggest the food critics check this venue out. The pizza pairing meal is brilliant!

To put it simple, it was the best pizza I ever eat. We had doc pizza, and even tho its a simple one the quality of every ingredients make it perfect. The place was good, booking beforehands recommended and ofc the waiter.. thanks to him we added lucca to our plan and it was perfect. This place is the no 1 in my italy trip for sure. Definitely recommend it

The food was definitely good, but I have a few complaints here. I’m quite used to burnt edges in Neapolitan pizza, but the spices shouldn’t be burnt. I’m also used to getting something in Italy as part of a coperto. Water was commented by others here.

Paulin makes the best pizza in all of Florence! The atmosphere was amazing, and the tiramisu was delicious as well! Must come if you are visiting Firenze!
