The calamari was delicious, would order that again! The pizza and pasta were good as well, but the calamari is a must for us. All and all, we had a relaxing lunch.
For the main course, we ordered both the margarita pizza and the pepperoni pizza, and they did not disappoint. The margarita pizza had a wonderfully tangy tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and a perfectly crisp crust that was both light and satisfying. The pepperoni pizza was equally impressive—loaded with perfectly spiced pepperoni and the right amount of cheese, with a nice balance of flavors in every bite. The crust on both pizzas was just the right amount of chewy, with a slight crispiness that added an extra layer of texture.
What really made the experience stand out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual yet delicious meal.
I highly recommend Mercato Pizzeria to anyone looking for great pizza and outstanding service. It’s definitely a five-star experience!
We always come back for the carbonara (Soo good), the Quattro pizza, and my husband is obsessed with the meatballs. Everything is made with care and full of flavor. The staff are always friendly and professional in a really chill, approachable way.
My only tiny wish is for a few more non-alcoholic drink options, but honestly, that’s just me being picky. This place is a gem and we’re so lucky it’s in our neighborhood!
I’ve tried a bunch of the pizzas… My favorite is the prosciutto, but the pepperoni was excellent as well. Fusilli pasta with chicken was also really good, with a lot of dried tomatoes and good greens.
A reasonable selection of here and wines.
The restaurant is warm and welcoming, the service is attentive and as genuine as you can get in California, you know everyone is struggling. Their food is pretty fresh and delicious.
Anyways, wanted to post that you should pay careful attention to the ingredients on the menu, don’t go by what the waiter says.
For example, if you say you only eat Kosher, the waiter will say “our bolognese is made with beef only”. But when you look at the menu ingredients, it says “beef and pork”. I understand, to them they just want a customer….but certain people take their diet seriously.
So better to look for yourself on the menu and read what they put out there.
If there is doubt, just order French fries, focaccia, and veg pizza its still delicious taste of Italy.
I started my meal with the tortellini tomato. The tortellini was perfectly cooked and the tomato sauce was flavorful and fresh.
Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Italian meal.
I would definitely return and try other dishes on the menu.
