The food was so good. Crispy, crunchy crust, flavorful sauce and cheesy, just like pizza is suppose to be. Everything was made to order so we did have to wait but it was well worth it! Highly recommend. The decor was like a record store, skate shop and pizzeria all mixed into one and it was just right. Can’t wait to come back and try new dishes!

I’m all for supporting local businesses, but being a resident in the same neighborhood, I have had to face a continual inconvenience.

Great NY style slice spot . Feels like a classic slice spot . Good beer selection , decent prices . Service was friendly and fast . My go to slice here other than the classic cheese is the White Girl – spicy chicken bacon ranch .

The pizza here is great. I do advise that if you don’t like your pizza burnt or too hot ask them to not leave them in too long. They warm up the slices before giving them to you. I have kids so they take that into consideration and leave them in the over for a short time. Other than that pizza is great. I need to try the other things on the menu. Nice people who work there ask well. You pay less when you pay with cash I have noticed than when you pay with a card. Hope this helps.

I’ve been coming here for years on weekend for a couple slices of cracker crust or thin crust pizza after a visit nearby to the SD Zoo or Balboa Park visit. Definitely recommend a visit if you like thin crust pizza since there’s a variety to pick from and even some veggie options.

First time here. I loved their wide variety of pizzas with thin crusts, but I wasn’t too thrilled with the reheated outcome. While they have different types of specialty pizzas, it didn’t taste as great reheated. I bought my pizza by the slice of premade pizzas. Their meatball & marinara and Buffalo Chicken were somewhat tasty, but again, I feel the reheating took some of that flavor away. Perhaps I’ll order a whole pizza next time, made to order, to give it another shot.

If I could give no stars I would. First off there is a disgusting fan right by their beverage section blowing dust and dirt right into the kitchen. Their pre made slices are covered in flies inside a case, no hair nets, and the cashiers handle money and food without gloves or washing their hands. Secondly, I ordered a slice, that was dripping with grease. I’m a regular here and it was ridiculous. When I brought it back to the counter, the lady at the counter said, “well, you ordered it, I tried to warn you.” Literally got mad at me for ordering their terrible pizza, then continued to talk about me to other customers after I left. She said, “She ordered a piece of pizza and then complained about it” I mean the nerve of me wanting a fresh piece of pizza. I haven’t seen Luigi in this place for years, but I cant imagine he or any other owner would approve of this employees behavior. And the restaurant itself is filthy. Not what it used to be. Luigi had to much pride in his food and business, there is no way he still owns this place.

Pizza was very tasty. Lots of varieties and I didn’t have any concerns about any reheating mentioned in previous reviews. It’s a dive bar, not a pizza parlor with lots of big tables. Our group of six had to cobble some tables and chairs together and try not to get in anyone’s way. Still, great pizza and that’s what really matters.

Stopped in for a pizza to go after a day at the zoo. Bought by the slice so we were in and out fast. Reheated them in the stove and they were incredible. Thin crust and delicious toppings.

One of the pizzas was phenomenal, the other (which they made fresh for me) tasted off. The crust tasted like burnt cleaning solution. Distinctly chemical. The garlic knots would have been great, other than the fact that they were warmed up in the oven, and then had the same burnt chemical flavor. I’d be willing to try this place again just because of the other reviews and the fact that the one pizza was great. Hoping this was just a fluke.
