Visiting Salt Lake City and really enjoyed this place. Had the antipasto, tomato basil soup with crostini, and the campana. The crostini was awesome and the food had great flavor. Pies were being made to order. The chairs and benches weren’t very comfortable but would go back again.

For context on this review, I’m rating this place based on how it compares to other Italian and Neapolitan pizzerie.

Le Pizze:
I ordered a the “Margherita Napoli” which in my opinion is the best way to compare to other Neapolitan style pizzerie. They offer other more adventurous pizzas with interesting and innovative flavor combinations like garlic and lemon or pear and prosciutto. I went with the classic option for the sake of comparison.

At First glance it is clear that the prep and cook of the pizza was poor. The tomato was spread almost all the way to the edge leaving little to no room for a good cornicione to develop. In addition, the outside of the pizza was slightly burnt and clearly cooked unevenly. The basil was completely dried out and edging on burnt as well indicating the pizzas were likely in the oven for too long, but at a lower temp than ideal.

Upon picking up a slice, the crust and underside snapped like a cracker. Neapolitan pizza should never be crunchy like this. The crust, while obviously cooked poorly, did have the nice flavor of a fermented dough. Unfortunately the bitterness of the burned portions, the copious amounts of burnt flour dusting the bottom (likely due to failure to clean off the pizza stone in the oven or excess flour being used to spread the dough), and the poor cook quality on the dough left the crust dry and lacking.

The sauce and toppings, made up a little. The tomato had the bright fresh flavor I love in a Neapolitan pizza. Along with that, the pizza was topped with a quality mozzarella and Parmigiano reggiano that gave the pie the right cheese taste.

Overall, the pizza was not bad, but compared to other Neapolitan pizzerie, it came up quite short.

Il servizio:
Service was good, but not special. I don’t have much to say here. Average overall. It’s a walk up and order place so it’s not supposed to be special.

Atmosfera:
The atmosphere was dark and uninteresting. It feels like you’re eating in a small warehouse with tables and chairs haphazardly strewn around the place and a couple of superficial, uninteresting Italian themed decorations to remind you this is an Italian place. I mean, of the two nods to Italy, one is a picture of Venice, which has little to do with Napoli or pizza.

Overall:
This pizzeria was unimpressive especially considering it’s hype and professed Neapolitan style. If you want good Italian pizza in the SLC area, you are better off going to Pizzeria Tasso in Holladay or Settebello downtown. If you want to try some unique flavor combinations, this place might have something to offer you.

If you’re in Salt Lake City and craving pizza, Limone Pizza is the place you’ve got to try. From the moment you walk in, the vibe feels warm, friendly, and casual, like a neighborhood spot where everyone feels welcome. The staff is quick with a smile, and they make you feel right at home, which honestly makes the whole experience even better.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show — the pizza. Limone isn’t just your typical pizza joint; they really know how to balance flavors and make something memorable. The crust is perfect every single time — thin, with just the right crunch on the outside and softness inside. You can tell it’s made fresh and with care. Their toppings are high-quality and generous, but not overdone. The flavors blend so well that every bite feels satisfying without being heavy.

One of the things that stands out is how creative they are with their menu. You don’t just get the same old pepperoni or cheese — though those are excellent too. They’ve got unique combinations that somehow taste even better than they sound. It feels like they’re not afraid to experiment, but they never lose that comforting, classic pizza taste.

To top it all off, their service matches the food. Friendly, fast, and always attentive. Limone Pizza is the kind of place you go once and immediately know you’ll be back. Great pizza, great people, and a great spot in the heart of Salt Lake City.

When I worked up this way in Salt Lake City, I used to come here for lunch. The pizzas really good. The crust is light and thin. You can build your own pizza. The prices are comparable to any other pizza place. The pizzas are on the small side. You can eat a whole one by yourself, it’s tasty. You should come in and try it.

This was a cute, hip pizza shop! The sizes are perfect for an individual meal and filling. I could have eaten everything on the menu! We got the margherita and secca pizza and they were delicious. We can’t wait to go back!

I absolutely love their pizzas. The Caprese is my go to. Their pizzas are always made fresh to order. Their fudge brownie is also delicious. I usually go during a mid week lunch time and they are quick and there is plenty of space to sit and eat them.

We stopped in to celebrate a birthday and really enjoyed the food. We ordered a variety of pizzas (Viola, Secca, and Margherita) and a Caesar salad. The employees were very helpful and the place was clean. I also appreciated seeing that the employees kept themselves busy between customers. Thank you for a delicious meal, we will be back!

I see this pizzeria everytime I visit the plaza and decided to give it a try; Supporting a local business during this pandemic. I ordered two take-out pizza’s. Both pizza’s were burnt! Could not be consumed. Do they not check the orders before boxing them?

Always order from them and I like food.but today I order delivery at the time they was almost closing(7pm). And they brought me 2 sad looking pizzas. It is few leaves of basil and crust look like someone took a dough and just throw in the over. Honestly it is not that I expect at all and it is not product that I had before.it is very sad to realize that they don’t care about customers then it is almost time to close.
