I had heard incredible things about Pizzeria Beddia, and let me tell you, it absolutely lives up to the hype. Growing up in New York, I’ve had my fair share of good pizza. But wow. The pizza here was SO delicious. What truly sets a pizza apart is the the crust, and pizzeria beddia has mastered it. We ordered the pie with roasted potato, smoked paprika cream and charred scallions, and it may have just become my all time favorite. The combination was so flavorful, perfectly paired with the light and crispy crust.
We lucked out and were able to walk in and get 2 seats at the bar at 5pm on a Friday. But definitely recommend making reservations in advance or coming even earlier. It’s popular for a reason!

We recently tried Pizzeria Beddia’s Hoagie Room experience (reservation required — and only for six people at a time!) We spent several hours absolutely enjoying spritzes and each bite — incredible ham, flavorful lemony beans, tomato pie (!!), salty and decadent anchovies, carefully curated selections of cheese, salads with incredible dressing (including a sesame miso one I’m still dreaming about), turkey hoagies (possibly the best sandwich I’ve ever had), flavorful vegetable hoagies with eggplant and mushrooms, italian hoagie, and three incredible pizzas of our choice with toppings like calabrian cream, collard greens, delicata squash and simply cheese. We all left so full with tons of leftovers and our host was wonderful and informative.
The house-made rolls were a special highlight and I adored the sweet-cream and espresso ice cream that wrapped up our meal. Truly a bucket-list-worthy foodie experience in Philly! We will absolutely be back just to sit in the main dining room and try more incredible bites. This is a must-try for foodies and just anyone who likes a great sandwich and slice of pizza.

This was spectacular pizza. I was impressed by the quality and the creativity.
The crust was crunchy the toppings heavenly.
Better than New Haven, as good as the best in Brooklyn.
Definitely top 5 in my lifetime.

The Hoagie Room at Pizzeria Beddia was absolutely phenomenal. The hoagies were unreal, but what really made it special was the experience itself. We booked the private room to celebrate a milestone birthday, and it felt intimate, fun, and totally unforgettable. Every detail was thoughtful, the food was outstanding, and it was such a unique way to celebrate. Can’t wait to go back!

Believe the hype. Dropped into Philly for this and then caught a train home. Sat at the bar, nice ambience. Great crust, good toppings, Max 2 though.

I ordered pizza from this place a few weeks ago, and unfortunately several members of my family who ate the Angry Bird pizza (with added veggies) ended up with what seemed to be food poisoning … including a child. It was pretty bad. I reached out to the restaurant multiple times in different ways to let them know what happened, and I never received any response. That alone says a lot about how little they seem to value their customers.
The pizza itself was extremely soggy in the middle, and I picked it up before it was even ready, so it wasn’t sitting out. We ate it within about five minutes of getting it, so the quality and handling on their end is really the only thing that made sense to us.
I actually did have a couple prior issues before where I ordered a salad to go and pizzas. Same soggy issue with the veggie pizza and had brown salads. I still decided to give it many chances thereafter. Idk if with that one they use wet veggies or over sauce it!
Because of this very ill experience and the complete lack of acknowledgment from the restaurant, I won’t be ordering from them again. I actually used to enjoy their food, which makes this even more disappointing. One star from me and if I could give zero, I would.

Our family celebrated summer birthdays in the “Hoagie Room” – what an AMAZING experience! The food was delicious! Each course bursting with flavor featuring locally grown ingredients (and some not so local … brought here from Europe!) Our host, John, was attentive, accommodating to dietary needs, and extremely knowledgeable as to the origins of each menu item, how it was prepared, and what to expect with each course. The room was immaculate … the 80’s soundtrack provided a festive ambiance, too! Highly recommend 10/10! We will be back!

This was a great pizza spot right near my place. We got the spicy pie and it was perfectly spicy. Not too hot where you can’t taste the flavor of the sauce but really just exactly how I would have wanted it if I did it myself. Skip any drinks other than beer/wine here, not worth it. There was a unique caesar “salad” that was really more like a caesar over vegetables but it was good. I’ll be back!

Awesome pizza. Everything about this place is cool. The nondescript building to the patio seating and the indoor seating. Tried stopping here several times and couldn’t get in so I did the smart thing and made a reservation. The pizza was phenomenal. Light, crisp, airy, flavorful. Well worth the wait. Will be here again and again and again. You just made me a fan. Great job!!!!!
