Social Profile:

Pizzeria Alberico is named after the Alberico family – the maiden name of FHG Owner Bobby Stuckey’s wife, Danette. The restaurant is a product of dual inspiration – the vivacity of the capital city of Naples, and the Alberico family that brought Frasca Hospitality Group owner Bobby Stuckey, his wife, Danette, and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson to Boulder. An ode to getting family and friends around the table, the ample menu is replete with Southern Italian specialties from fritti to pizza to gelati. The full bar will showcase classic and craft cocktails featuring Italian-oriented and unique spirits, with a wine program that points largely to Southern Italy.

Artisanal pies wood-fired in full view of patrons, plus an extensive wine list (some on tap).

Stopped in recently and overall had a good experience. The pizza was definitely the highlight—great crust, good balance of toppings, and really well-executed. The sourdough was another standout; super flavorful and perfectly textured.

The salads, however, were a bit underwhelming. Fresh ingredients, but they lacked seasoning and overall flavor compared to the rest of the meal.

Service and atmosphere were solid, and I’d go back mainly for the pizza and sourdough. A little more attention to the salads would make the experience even better.

Definitely the best pizza in Boulder, and the people who disagree are used to Dominos ketchup on cardboard. Delicious Neapolitan style pizza, great appetizers and really really good gelatos desserts with fun interesting flavors. I don’t drink but drinks seem good too.

We had the great privilege of dining at Pizzeria Alberico and arrived about 15 minutes after opening at 4PM and were fortunate to find a spot at the intimate bar. I highly recommend getting there early, as the place fills up quickly.

To start, we ordered a few delicious small bites from the happy hour menu: garlic knots and a Caesar salad. We paired these with a couple of glasses of their house wine, which were delightful. Much to my amazement, the legendary restaurateur and self-described “hospitalian,” Bobby Stuckey, was there! He graciously stopped by the bar, as he often does with customers when he’s on site, and inquired about our experience.

Bobby recommended a wonderful Chianti, which perfectly complemented our meal—it was fabulous. His attention to detail and dedication to training his staff over the years truly shines through in the dining experience. My wife and I have had the privilege of dining at his restaurants multiple times, and while this was our first visit to Pizzeria Alberico, it will certainly not be our last.

This experience inspired us to make a reservation at Fresca, and we look forward to enjoying that first-class experience once again.

Came here for the namesake. Unfortunately, the attention we received as customers was lacking. The wait wasn’t bad we were sat down quickly since it wasn’t a busy day. However, after 15 minutes of waiting for our menus my partner had to get them himself. Strange since the other table directly in front of us was being attended and even got their drinks before we got our own menus.
When the waiter got our orders, he never brought our drinks and we were only served water. Our appetizer was given to another table, it’s almost as if we were being completely ignored, purposely. Being that we were the only brown customers in the restaurant, I can’t help but to think that’s the reason why the service was not up to the other yt customers standards.

Won’t be coming back. Food wasn’t even that good tbh. Must’ve been the sour taste that the service left.

Pizzeria Alberico makes some of the best pizza I’ve had in Boulder. Their pies are authentic, traditional Neapolitan-style, and the quality really shows. The pizza was perfectly made and genuinely reminded me of what it feels like to eat in Naples. It’s simple, balanced, and done with care.

What I especially loved is the variety. You can enjoy the classics like a Margherita, but they also offer thoughtful, locally inspired seasonal pies that keep things interesting and creative without losing that authentic foundation. You have to try their Trapanese pie with pesto with burrata. That was a great treat.

The staff is always so helpful and very attentive. If you appreciate real Neapolitan pizza and ingredients treated with respect, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Loved the fungi pizza. It was outstanding. The squash blossom pizza was not a squash blossom pizza. It had a few wilted blossoms on it, but all you could taste was the pesto slathered everywhere. It was a good pesto pizza. Not a squash blossom pizza at all. Started w a dozen oysters, which were excellent, and I love the eye dropper for the mignonette. Budino dessert is not as flavorful as it used to be, still good. Service was good, though the server seemed to be uncorking a wine bottle for the first time in her life.

A delicious Italian restaurant that takes pizza seriously. I’ve never had appetizers like these before! Honestly I wasn’t sure what most items were on the menu because my Italian is zero, but the employees were super nice and explained everything, they even recommended which wines we should get.

There’s good history to accompany the inviting ambiance and delicious food. Their pizza oven took time and effort to arrive from Italy.

Great place for a date. I went for a company dinner where they sat us our party of 12 in a separate room and we had the option to order for all at the table and share like a family.

You can watch the chefs behind the open kitchen and even sit right up next to the kitchen. Their prosciutto slicing machine is beautiful!

We had really high hopes for Pizzeria Alberico, especially given the prices, but our experience was a huge disappointment.

We ordered the Funghi pizza ($26) and another specialty pie. Both were some of the worst pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The crust was undercooked and doughy, the toppings were sparse, and the overall flavor was flat. The Funghi in particular looked and tasted unfinished—barely any mushrooms or cheese, and no balance in texture or seasoning.

For the price point, I expected something elevated, but instead we got pizzas that felt rushed, skimpy, and uninspired. When a restaurant charges premium prices, the basics—properly cooked dough, adequate toppings, and balanced flavor—should be a given.

Sadly, this was an expensive letdown, and I won’t be returning.

Pesto burrata pizza was a dream. We added prosciutto and I was in heaven. They brought out a little pudding for the birthday we celebrated and i thought about it all week. You get what you pay for !

Take out. Food tasted okay but too salty!
Small portions, personal size pizza $20 that was mainly crust that was soft but soggy.
We ordered the larger entree Caesar salad $20 and it was mostly arugula?
Tiny desert size, couple of spoonfuls and it was gone.
Not worth the price.
