We use a classic Italian dough recipe and quality toppings that are sourced straight from Italy. Our classic pizza ovens mean we can serve hot, traditional stone-baked pizza within minutes – just like the Italians enjoy. With seating available for those who want to take their time and watch our pizziolas at work, we welcome walk-ins at our restaurant, and also accept orders online or via our app for Click & Collect and Pizza1889 Delivery. Update 14/11: Worst customer service. Don’t support. Completely ignoring my multiple refund requests/fobbing me off to Deliveroo. Very frustrating.
Deliveroo order. I’m really not happy with my order. The items arrived cold, and it’s because it really was only just about cooked. The inside of the calzone was so watery it spilt everywhere (because it wasn’t cooked enough), and it was tasteless- severely lacking salt. I paid extra to have feta and there was a single piece, but weirdly enough there was brie in it which wasn’t even in the ingredients (not good for people with allergies?)?? I also paid extra for Neapolitan sausage, there was two/three tasteless pieces (tasted like they were previously boiled or something?). £5 extra for nothing. The lack of these extras that I paid for is clearly shown because they’re so salty, and yet it all severely lacked salt, or really any taste at all. Moreover, both the calzone and garlic bread were half the size expected . The garlic bread also didn’t really taste of much (remarkable for garlic bread), and the cheese only covered about half. The only thing that was alright were the dips. But dips aren’t a meal. I want a refund. Really disappointing.

Must try place, amazing food, very welcoming staff & great prices! The calzone was delicious and comforting, with a nicely browned crust. All their food was freshly made & very hygienic! Definitely would come back here! Was a lovely experience overall!

I tried the Buffalo Mozzarella pizza – it was delicious, not too heavy, and thankfully one of the halal options. I added some spicy crisps myself, which made it even better – hope they add that option officially!
Staff were incredibly friendly and clear when answering questions. Service was quick – my order was ready in about 15 minutes. I’m new to Cambridge, so I can’t judge prices well, but I felt it was fair for what I got (though a bit cheaper would be nice).
The place is simple and open-air, right in the middle of the complex. Lots of available seating. You can enjoy the weather while eating, but some tables had leftover food or spills – perhaps just needed quicker cleaning between guests.
At the end, they kindly offered me a small tub of ice cream – a lovely and unexpected gesture that made the visit even more enjoyable.

Hands down the best pizza we’ve ever had! The space is lovely and cozy, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. Most importantly, the staff are incredibly friendly and made us feel so well looked after.

I don’t usually post reviews, but this restaurant deserves best pizza award. I have tried many places but pizza1889 is different. They are authentic and tasty. Really great and affordable prices. Nice and cozy sitting area.

Truly amazing!! Honestly one of the best pizza places, if you’re visiting Cambridge, you should definitely try their pizza! The service is exceptional, Pratham and Amul were really friendly and helpful with the menu! The ambiance is really cozy too.

I think this pizza could be really good but the two occasions I’ve tried it’s not quite hit the spot. The first time both pizzas that should have had Ricotta on them you couldn’t taste it or find any, they lacked a nice amount of topping. The second time the garlic truffle pizza was wayyyy overcooked and not even edible so a huge disappointment and they should have known better than to serve it (pic attached). I’m willing to try once more in the hope they read this review and fine tune their execution. I will update this review either way
