When my wife makes the occasional Vietnamese dish that I don’t like to eat, I’m on my own. Today I was scrolling through Pizza places I haven’t tried in the area, and I found Pizza West Chester. There are a bunch of college pizza places in the area, so with the name, I almost scrolled past it. I’m glad I noticed the 4.7 stars on google.

When someone is passionate about their product it shows, the owner loves pizza and loves what he does and it shows. Pizza is subjective and everyone has their favorite, for this style of pizza (my favorite, thin, crisps, fresh) this is tops in the country. I have hit every spot in New Haven, New York. Philly and Boston and this is top tier and worth a special trip. Plus the owner is just a nice guy, never met me before I went today and he made me feel like I’m family.

The best pie in the area however some nuances: cash only, one-size, made to order, no call ahead/delivery. Often a 2-pie limit. They *DO* sell out on Fridays and Saturdays. Yes, there’s usually a line of people, even at opening. For good reason! The crust is buttery and charred to perfection. There are multiple cheeses on every pie with freshly grated Parmesan to finish. Excellent oil ratio with the pepperoni. Get this pie you won’t regret it.

Reminds me a lot of Joe Beddia’s original pizza, before he moved to a big sit down spot and started making pizza on a screen(gross)…Feels like he even stole the whole simple idea of just calling it Pizza with the Beddia-esk sign out front. Wouldn’t be shocked if I found out they use the same finishing cheese, Old Gold. The bottom of my slices were charred bc the oven was not brushed clean, which throws off the taste. The slices are stretched improperly which leaves for parts of the slice thick and other parts thin, so they could really improve by taking a little more care with their stretching. Over all it’s super delicious, as you would expect looking and feeling like a Beddia knockoff….. They do a hard bake so if you dont love that burnt toast type of taste and crunch experience with pizza, then Lorenzo’s is probably a better spot for you. Tons of pizza in the area and I would put this top 3. Take out only, Cash only. If you miss Joe Beddia’s original pizza come here.

I was there with my son to look at WCU, but had been secretly planning a trip to Pizza West Chester. It did not disappoint. Chewy, crispy crust. Perfect sauce. Salty cheese blend finished with freshly grated cheese as soon as the pizza came out of the oven. So happy we got there! And thanks to the owner/pizzaiolo for chatting with us while we waited!

The pizza is worth the wait and inability to order ahead. It’s fantastic NY style pizza. Eat at least a slice at your car because the underside is so crunchy when it comes out of the oven, there is no floppiness here. Out performs any pie outside of Philly by miles.

Probably the most legit pizza you’ll have in a 100.mile radius(as long as you stay out of NJ ). Has the product down to a science… fresh ingredients, great ratio of cheese/sauce/crust and perfect crispy execution. Only criticism is the cheese didn’t really come through when it was fresh out of the oven… but once it cooled a bit the flavors balanced a bit more.

I’ve lived in West Chester All my life. And I’m not one to usually write a review. But that being said I thought I’d express my opinion about this. For over a year now I’ve heard that PIZZA of West Chester is 1 of if not the BEST PIZZA PLACES AROUND! Well I have to say that today 08/31/23 around 2 p.m. was the First time I have ever eaten there pizza & I have to say it doesn’t live up to the Hype at All!! I’m very disappointed! For the most part all I tasted was Burnt pizza! & for $25.50 I’d expect something that is NO! where near Burnt! And even if it wasn’t burnt like it was! there pizza is mediocre at best! there are a few different pizza places in West Chester that are very good! comparedley so such as New Haven, Benny’s, Lorenzo’s & Amore’s to name a few. I will never buy or eat another slice of pizza from PIZZA of West Chester Again! No Thank You! There Overrated!

West Chester is a college town with too many pizza spots to count. Opening a pizzeria and calling it “Pizza West Chester” almost feels like a bold move. But all you need is just one bite to know that it was the right move, because this is not only the premier pizzeria of West Chester, it’s top-tier in the state. Pizza was my #1 mission while in WC and it did not disappoint. It’s on the level of my Philly faves. The crisp crust is phenomenal, sporting patches of charred perfection. The sauce has such developed flavors, featuring a great balance; a bit tart with a touch of ripened sweetness. Along with quality cheese, ideal ratios, and those winning little spicy pepp cups, this pie was simply unforgettable. My only regret is not ordering a white along with my red. I can’t wait to return and order two pies! The owner was very nice and even gave my phone a quick charge while I waited, which I appreciated.
