Pizza to the Rescue was an amazing place to discover . Their mission alone is over the top—helping animals while serving incredible food is something you don’t see every day. I honestly didn’t expect the pizza to be this good. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted right away and seated immediately . The gentleman who served me was extremely polite and helpful, especially after I told him it was my first visit.
I ordered a Coke and a cheese pizza, and wow —the wood-fired pizza was absolutely delicious. Perfect crust, great flavor, and cooked just right. The best part, 25% of the pizza cost goes directly to helping animals ❤️ . Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing people doing amazing things. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend supporting this place!

One of the best new restaurants in central Phoenix…plus it benefits a local animal shelter! Pizza was thin, crispy and full of flavor. We also enjoyed rigatoni with vodka sauce, Italian sandwich on focaccia, and 2 delectable desserts. My wife had the Basque cheesecake and I had the paw-zookie. I really enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service!

Came here for the pups, stayed for the pizza! Was pleasantly surprised by how great the pizza was here. I got the margherita pizza on “Yappy Hour” and the flakiness of the crust with the decadent but not overdone layer of cheese and fresh sauce was absolutely incredible. Kaetlyn J gave great service and the patio was the perfect ambience for a nice restful meal.

Pizza, Puppies, and Pure Joy
This place is basically a dream come true. Amazing pizza and puppies? Yes, please.
The pizza alone is worth the visit—perfectly crisp crust, generous toppings, and sauces that actually taste homemade. Whether you’re into classic pepperoni or more creative combos, everything comes out hot, fresh, and seriously delicious.
But what really sets this place apart is the puppies. While you’re waiting for your food (which honestly doesn’t take long), you get to hang out with the sweetest, most playful pups. They’re well cared for, clean, and clearly loved, and they turn a simple meal into a full-on happiness experience. Nothing pairs better with a slice of pizza than a puppy curled up nearby or trying to steal your attention.
The staff is friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both pizza and dogs. The atmosphere is relaxed, joyful, and impossible to leave in a bad mood.
If you love pizza, puppies, or just smiling uncontrollably for an hour, this place is a must-visit. I came for the food and left with a full stomach and a full heart.

My only comment is that the music sent us into a bit of a daze. But the pizookie was good and the pizza was good. We got a pizza where you had to add mozzarella which was interesting. The pizza was enough to fill 3 people. The pizookei was also splendid and the ice cream on top was also good. It’s great to know that our money goes to a good cause as well. Went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was great. No wait.

UPDATE: I have had the tortellini and the verdict is Thumbs down, allegedly it was supposed to have veal and pork inside the tortellinis, but they were so dang microscopic. Any meat that would have been inside was indistinguishable from mush. Best thing on the menu was the cheesecake.
Original Review:
Good atmosphere, I’ve only sat at the bar so I can’t judge the table service. But I have had the pizza a couple times. The sauce is sweet and flavorless. The pizza has come out burnt the two times I hAd it, And in my opinion for the price of the pizza there is not enough meat, the sauce was a little gritty.
I love the rescue and charity contribution, I think it’s a little weird that the charity contribution goes to their own charity, but you know it is what it is.

Well, i have to give this experience i had today a 5 stars. Great atmosphere, very clean and comfortable. Service was great. Very friendly and chatted with multiple staff. This place has been on my radar for some time and i was in Arcadia today and saw it and pulled in. So glad i did. As soon as i walked in and saw the wood fired oven i knew i was in the right place. I always try a margarita when i try a new spot but i saw the cooler with the sausage they make in house and had to switch it up. Scratch kitchen and you could taste it! I ordered a margarita but added sausage and pepperoni to half. Pizza dough was cooked perfectly. Great flavor and a nice chew with the right amount of char and airiness. Too many places these days burn the bottom. I could taste the fresh mozzarella and the sauce was the right amount of savory and sweet. Sausage was great and the pepperoni were the cup n char which i love. The only thing i didn’t love was they use basil oil instead of fresh basil which is a necessity on a true margarita. I just got some on the side and added it myself. I would have given a 4 star review but added an extra star for what they do for the puppies! 25% of all proceeds go to the puppy rescue. I believe they have the puppies there certain nights to adopt!!!! I will absolutely be back!!!

I guess I was expecting this place to be pretty good, but I wouldn’t mind the quality because it’s for a good cause. This place blew our minds! We shared a pizza that was really good. We haven’t enjoyed a pizza this much in a long time. We also split the Basque cheesecake for dessert. It was my first time trying it, and it was so delicious! We’ll definitely be back.

Food was good not great. Loved the set up with the dogs and love supporting. Service was not good and we were there early. We had 6 of us and automatic 20% tip added. That would explain the ok service. Took 25 minutes after I ordered a drink. Really didnt check back and we ordered Happy Hour and a cheese pizza is full price but a Margarita pizza is happy hour and pepperoni. Next time I will order pepperoni hold the pepperoni. Please have better servers that care about the customers. When you automatically add the 20% it always seems the service is not as good.
