Called in a to go order on a Sunday for a Chiefs Game with a specific pick up time. Arrived at that time and the pizzas were ready and boxed up. Staff were friendly and everything was paid for online so I was able to pick up the pizzas and go quickly only issue is street parking on 39th St. to be able to pick up quickly can be tricky sometimes Pizzas are massive and when they have a discount day it’s totally worth it. The broccoli sausage pizza is the best highly recommend just a little pricey.

Today was my birthday and I decided to reward myself with a pizza place I’ve never been to. Service was excellent and so was the pizza. My only issue was that the pizza didn’t have enough cheese and was a little thin for a New York style but it was delicious nonetheless.

I was referred to this pizzeria due to its reputation for authentic New York-style pizza served in Kansas City. Having grown up in New York, my family and I felt the need to stop in. I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way, earning a perfect 10 out of 10. The pizza was incredibly delicious, with a thin crust that truly embodied the classic New York-style staple while bursting with flavor. We opted for a half cheese and half Red Tascio pizza, and I thoroughly savored every bite. The cheese was exceptional, and I particularly enjoyed the cupped pepperoni and hot honey. I will undoubtedly return to sample more of their pizza offerings. I can definitely say I recommend this pizzeria.

Amazing pizza! Best pizza place in Kansas City! I’m from New York and their pizza reminds me of home.

I got the 50-50 so two different pizzas half-and-half.
First half- swirl pizza added chicken
Second half- Red Tascio added jalapeños

I usually order from the location on Burlington. I am not impressed with this location on 39th. Half of rhe pizza is missing toppings. Seems like the team is not quality and consistency focused vs jamming out to hard metal… kinda sucks as I only had a good impression of pizza tascio until this.

Update/ reply to your reply: the point of my review was not to receive a refund but to give feedback on my expierence. I checked the pizza in the store, so when you roll back cctv you will see me open it. But I did not voice the issue in person as I did not want to have conflict/complain to the staff. I did not want a friction point at that time on a Friday. I just left with it and provided my feedback on this platform once getting home. Appreciate the response none the less. Ill give you guys another try in the future.

Let me preface by saying Pizza Tascio is the best NY-style pizza in KC.

However, the 39th Street location is a mess. The past three times we’ve ordered, by the time we get the pizza home (9 minutes) the pizza is cold and needs to be put in the oven. Today my order was stated to be ready at 6:05. At 6:05, both pizzas were out of the oven sitting on their tray. I walked out of the shop at 6:25. Today they ran out of full size boxes, so they took small boxes and stacked 4 slices in each. Both pies were cold by the time I got home. The last time we ordered, they didn’t put balsamic on the White Bruschetta pizza. Today we ordered marinara, and they gave us ranch instead. Fortunately I checked before leaving and they corrected the mistake.

Just not a well run operation. Still the best tasting pizza in town, but know what you’re getting in terms of service expectations if you order from the 39th Street location

I was having a rough day, so I decided to order myself pizza. It’s safe to say this pizza made my entire day and week. It was so delicious I think about it all of the time. Also the guys working inside of this location were so nice and friendly. This is my favorite pizza in Kansas City.

Better atmosphere than overland Park or the one that used to be in Lee’s summit… Pizza was a little dry and a little too crisp. That to me means that it’s been sitting a while.
Staff is friendly and eager please and I probably could have complained but didn’t have the time to go through. Waiting for pizza again.

First time at this Pizza Tascio location and it was good. The pizza and cheese sticks were really good. The restaurant itself was smaller, with the pizza boxes being just as big as the table. They have pizza by the slice, but it’s what is available at the time; otherwise, you have to buy an 18″ pizza, which is huge. They also only serve drinks by the can, which are a little overpriced. Finally, it is nearly impossible to find parking near the restaurant, so park around the block. Overall, the food was good and worth it if you are doing takeout.

My husband and I made a visit to the shop after seeing David Portnoy’s review. Plus, my husband being from NY always likes to try places that advertise as being NY style. When we walked in the shop, we were promptly greeted and the guys were very friendly and conversational. They took great care to make sure our experience was a good one. As for the pizza, it was amazing we had one without cheese to fully taste the sauce and we had a cheese slice. Both were authentic NY style, no flop and I could here the crust crunch as a bit into it-very good-thin and crisp. The cheese was not too much just the right amount and the ingredients were very fresh. The sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and tang, some places kill the tomato sauce with too much oregano (not here, thankfully!)-a beautiful compliment to the ingredients on the pizza…We will definitely be back; shout out to the crew and Pizza Tascio for giving us a great authentic NY experience!
