My family and I had ordered pizza from here the other night and it was absolutely amazing!!! We ordered the following:

Cheese
Vodka Margherita
Special: Pickle Bacon Ranch

Every single slice was absolutely delicious. The pizza is extremely flavorful and the toppings really compliment the pizza. We loved the speciality pizza with the pickles!! Even the pizza crust was delicious!

We highly recommend this pizza place!

Nothing special. I am tourist. Had the regular tomato slice, just bread with cool tomato sauce on it and oregano. Meh!
Had the buffalo chicken, it was salty
Had a vehi slice okay.
The dough is good. But average tasting.

I’ve been wanting to come here for years, but I’m always getting food elsewhere in the area. Today I changed that. I went with the everything bagel pizza slice special, and a plain to see how their base is.

Ordering is solely through a side window, with limited street seating. This is a place to get a slice and go. The special slice was creative, and the food came out pretty quickly. Approximately 5 minutes from ordering of two slices to receiving the food.

Both slices were cooked nicely, and tasted pretty good. Neither stood out to me as memorable, but every bite was crunchy and flavorful. I like the little cheese pieces on top, and I finished the crusts of both.

I’d probably stop here in the future if I was coming home from a bar, or wanted a quick slice when in the area. I don’t drink anymore, and I usually am in the area with intent to eat somewhere already, so I won’t likely be back any time soon.

It’s well worth your time and money, you may love it!

Window-order only pizza shop in Fishtown! I’ve heard amazing things about PIZZA Shackamaxon and was excited to finally try it.

I got the cheese pizza slice with a side of basil + lemon whipped ricotta. It came out to $8.10 for one slice and ricotta – kinda pricey albeit it is a big slice. It was incredibly underwhelming though. The sauce was nothing special and the undercarriage was floppy. My favorite part was the crust because it actually had some crisp. Maybe the pie was undercooked?

The basil + lemon ricotta was necessary to elevate it a little bit more. I see the potential and would be willing to come back to try a specialty slice!

Best pizza in Philly hands down. Slightly better pizza than Beddia without the pretentiousness and you can bring your own drink or take the pizza to go. The weekly specials are must try. I get it anytime I see they have a vegetarian one ☺️ LOVE Pizza Shackamaxon!

One of my favorite, if not the favorite, pizza place in Philly. Philly has some incredible spots, so that’s saying something. I typically go pepperoni with hot honey (get the hot honey if they have it), and a slice of that fluffy and crunchy, beautifully tangy and tasty – oh so fulfilling tomato pie. Hands down, the best tomato pie slice in the city. I love that they switch up the special and sometimes it’s an absolute home run – where I wish it would be back the next week, but that’s life. Other times, the special is very goody, but you can’t always hit a homer when you’re taking chances, trying new things. I love that about this place though. There are the staples that ALWAYS deliver, and then the wild cards which are fun and creative. Don’t change that. Please.

I have had pizza from all over the country and world, but whenever I come home to Philly, this is the first place I go to grab a slice.

And finally, the staff there are always super friendly. I only know them from going there frequently over the years and following them on social, but they are incredibly kind folks, and add an extra layer of love to each slice. Normally, staff isn’t a factor when it comes to slices and pizza, but hey when they’re that special – it’s worth mentioning.

Pizza Shackamaxon is some of the best pizza in Philly, hands down. It’s thin, crispy slices are reminiscent of my favorite New Haven Style Pizza, but not quite the same. We tried pepperoni and plain slices and one thing was clear, this slice wasn’t your run of a mill slice, it had quality ingredients and are pretty large on the slice scale.

My only regret is I didn’t get a whole pie instead.

For those ordering, order at the Window on Shackamaxon. There’s outdoor tables if you want to eat there.

Best pizza in the city. Super consistent, they always use the best ingredients and it shows with their traditional pizzas and their regularly rotating specialty pizzas. Tomato pie is also a must if you gotta avoid the cheese. Always a welcoming atmosphere and just great vibes from staff. If you love crispy thin perfectly cooked pizza look no further.

I can’t imagine finding a better slice in Philly.

Great sauce, amazing crunch, slightly greasy. Some folks need to learn the difference between dark and burnt. This is a perfectly well done pie.

We arrived around 2 PM on a Saturday and there was no line and the pie came out in 15 minutes. I scarfed down three. Originally I was going to order slices, but they didn’t look great, so I went for the full pie and it was not a mistake. One of my highlights of all the times I’ve been to Philly.

We got the plain cheese pizza slice. The crust was crispy and light. The pizza itself was really good. Definitely worth a stop to grab a slice or two.

It’s a little pricey. $5/slice (plain cheese). They also charge you $2 for crushed red pepper packets. That’s kinda weak on their part. Hence why I knocked them down in atmosphere rating.
