My friend and I popped in to pizza shack yesterday. Upon sleeping on it, I am more disgusted than I was yesterday. I gave 2 stars because the salad was pretty good, although an antipasto usually has more meat than 2 slices of salami and provolone rolled up in a tiny roll. Anyways we also ordered a pizza, large with pepperoni, onion and banana peppers. We waited a long time for the pizza, (our plates were filthy, one had someone else’s sub lettuce on it) when it came out finally, it wasn’t hot out of the oven. Pretty sure it was on top of the oven for quite some time, as the bartender was busy chatting and focused on it. Pizza was very thin, pretty much the smallest amount of sauce possible and not very tasty (I’ve been here several times, usually not the case) so I reached t for the Parmesan and there was a COCKROACH walking around! I had to “interrupt “ the bartender and got a very annoyed look, she saw baby roach and explained that they” dump “ the cheeses every Sunday. It was Sunday. She took it away and gave me a different cheese shaker, that was sitting close to us on the bar! She eventually got some “new cheese from walk in”
New customers came in, she reminded them $10 domestic draft pitchers! I would’ve enjoyed to share a pitcher with my friend!! But she didn’t mention the beer special…so she knocked off one beer from our tab, (i had a soda because I didn’t like the beer he was drinking) I talked to my friend today, he agrees that our service was less than par and he won’t go back. It was like we were not welcomed there! And the roach? Made us lose our appetite. We brought the rest of the pizza home only to feed the birds and inspect for anything else living or non living, but I just tossed it to the birds. There was no concern, no manager came to talk to us…just the bartender acting as if nothing happened. I am more sick today than yesterday as we both feel our lunch couldn’t have been any worse, with the roach to the completely ignorant service. I hope they fix this problem, but I think I’ll go somewhere else for pizza fora while. I know we weren’t her friends like the other customers that came in, but girl, you’re working! LOOK UP! I had to “interrupt” her twice because me looking at her went unnoticed. Sorry, but unacceptable.

We stopped here back in November while vacationing in Clearwater Beach. We were in a hurry, so opted for carryout. The pizza was pretty good, and we’re from Chicago! The only negative was my wife said the woman who worked there had an attitude, and she thinks it was because she didn’t tip for picking up the food
My wife usually doesn’t pick up our food, so she legit isn’t used to the concept of tipping while doing carryout. I’ll be sure to drop a few bucks when we’re back in town, because I feel like we’ll be back lol

I was very unhappy with this place for quite a while, but it is pretty darn close to perfect now!!! The margherita pizza is fabulous, the calzone is not only huge, but delicious; and the service is great. I love being able to go and pick up my order and not even have to get out of the car. And, when we dine in – they have a great pitcher special!

A HIDDEN GEM! The food will send your taste buds on a rocket ship to heaven. The pizza is perfect! The wings are large and flavorful! The wait is a little long but the quality of the food more than makes up for the wait!
The atmosphere is also great! It has a home feeling to it and the staff is also super nice! Will be coming back in the future!

Ordered take out tonight, perfect! We have eaten at Pizza Shack for years. I am not normally a reviewer, but just had to send a message about how everything was just right! I got 2 spaghetti dinners, with extra sauce, and a side order of sausage. I received the perfect order! Exactly what I ordered, and as always it was great. Thank you

I was told not to tell anyone about this local hidden gem. The atmosphere is amazing. Our server was so friendly and personable. She had a smile that up the room. They have a bar if you don’t want to sit at a table or booth. The menu is under glass. The food was so good from the appetizers to the main courses. The portions are very generous and noone finished their meals. To go boxes please.

The pizza is just ok. Had the chicken Parm twice and both times the chicken was either overcooked and rubbery, or undercooked and far too pink, which is a surprise considering how thin the cutlets were. The service is good and the prices are reasonable, but the food just isn’t good enough.

Pizza Shack Italian Grille in Indian Rocks, FL, was great, with amazing dough/crust and sauce, but I wish there was more sausage on our three topping pie. For a 16-inch, I’d expect more than 1-2 pieces of sausage on a slice.

Pizza brings me back all the time I am in the area. The atmosphere reminds me of home (NJ) and the staff is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a real Italian meal and pizza!
