Social Profile:

Pizza Roma was founded in 2000 by two high school friends, Ed and Rick, who both grew up near the Woodstock area. Ed – who loves to eat, and Rick – who loves to cook, wanted to bring their passions together to open a restaurant that would offer Portlanders high-quality, gourmet-style pizza that was both affordable and convenient. The two wanted to not only cater to the “pizza aficionado” but also provide a great neighborhood place for families. In 2005, Roma Coliseum was born after the record store that occupied the other half of the building closed shop. The expansion allowed Pizza Roma to offer a full service sports bar combined with the incredible culinary delights of the pizza restaurant.

Open, airy pizzeria offers pies, slices & comfort fare served at the counter & a back sports bar.

Holy meatball sandwich! Ok so I hear their pizza is great as well, I’m just not big on pizza. But the meatball sandwich and the meatball appetizers make my day. I also love this place because they are so community oriented. They have offered free pizzas to volunteers on the neighborhood cleanup days, and that is priceless. They have made our volunteers feel special, with a free lunch after a morning of cleaning the streets.

Super surprised to find some really great BBQ at a pizza place! Brisket sandwich was melt in your mouth, with delicious sides too. We ordered pasta salad on the side and gotta add big bonus points for a savory pesto and spinach penne. So good. I’ll be back, and maybe I’ll even try the pizza!

I live in Woodstock. Super nice folks, great pizza and beer. Always awesome service. We are glad you are here in the neighborhood. Well done, as I’m enjoying your pizza right now! And, Harley loves a little of the cornicione, or edge.

This was recommended by a friend to give a go on Carnivore Friday. My wife and I decided to give this place a go for the prime rib, salad and baked potato special. It was very good and great value for money and delicious…especially for a pizza place! We got there at 5:15pm and the place was filling up. Totally recommend this place. Next time we will try the pizza or brisket as they have that too.

Easily one of my favorite pizza places. Usually amazing pizza (although it can vary based off the staff that day, some are better than others) and the staff here is so so so friendly! Their pizza has changed over the years but has still been delicious throughout. And as a bonus, it has such a great atmosphere, inside and outside, that makes me almost NEVER get it to-go. (Oh, and it’s personally not my favorite, but they do have that one type of square pizza my dad really likes.)

What a great place for the hood! Pizza is always killer and one of the places my kids love to go with great indoor and outdoor seating. What really gets me every time is the Friday prime rib. Like, why does a pizza place make prime rib? Why is it so good? Why is it that I wake up thinking about it every Friday? So many questions but I take solice in knowing I can walk here. Good job guys!

Been coming here for years to enjoy a slice and sometimes watch a Blazers game in the bar. Fair prices and good food, but honestly the staff are the best part. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and attentive. Something sometimes rare in Portland. Also their large amount of outdoor seating is nice.

02/02/2022: 4.75 out of 5 – It’s the Year of the Tiger, so we celebrate the Lunar New Year in the last several days with so much Asian foods.

I needed a break.

So, obviously the best “go-to” food that you just can’t go wrong with is pizza, right? So, after my Wednesday Running Group, we went to what we know what is good, Pizza Roma in Woodstock.

Masks are required which is expected, but this establishment isn’t partaking in any of the Social Discrimination Policies that some restaurant owners/management are choosing to do.

Seemed like today the staff was doing some cleaning, but we were still welcomed to come in, order, and dine in with pizza and beer. Although there were some new faces to me, the staff were friendly, attentive, quick and responsive, which just adds to a relaxing and enjoyable meal.

Admittedly, I saw a few new items on the menu that I find intriguing, so I will have to come and try some the hot hoagies that now have.

All in all, at the end of any meal I often will ask, “Would you come back?” Of course it’s quite obvious, I keep coming back to Pizza Roma. Most likely since the staff are great, the food and drinks are tasty, and the establishment doesn’t partake in any form of discrimination.

So, if you ever get a chance, definitely try it once and decide for yourself.

Enjoy!

02/23/20: 4.5 out of 5 – One of the favorites “go to” locales with my Wednesday night run group for pizza by the slice and cold beer. Came here today on a Sunday. This is a great local place in Woodstock that has great pizza selections, as well as other menu items, ample seating, friendly service and clean bathrooms (you all know a clean bathroom makes a huge difference).

If you ever get a chance, try the Shroom! It is fantastically delicious.

Definitely worth a try once and decide for yourself. I know I’ll be going back for more.

Enjoy!

01/18/18: 5.0 out of 5 – Been wanting to catch Pizza Roma for Prime Rib. I’ve missed out on several attempts in the past. However, I made it this time. It is worth the price of $15.99! Amazing!

08/01/17: 4.5 out of 5 – Consistently good, and with better service this time around.

If you ever get a chance, try the Shroom! It is fantastically delicious. Another slice that was new to me and quite good was the Pulled Pork slice called “Winter is Coming”.

This place keeps up with great tasting pizzas.

04/15/17: 4.5 out of 5 – The weather was great today, so a lot of yard work was accomplished. Therefore, we just felt like pizza. To our surprise, the menu has expanded! Ratings dropped a bit today due to the lack of cleanliness. Staff needs to keep the tables clean!

02/15/17: 5.0 out 5 – It’s been awhile but the pizzas, beers, and service are still superb. Always happy to come here to enjoy some down time.

10/03/16: 5.0 out 5.0 – Came here for lunch. The place was quiet, but busy. Service was good and the pizza (two slices) was really, really good today. It felt good to sit, watch some golf while eating, and see the place mellow out. Just something different… enjoyable.

09/20/16: 4.5 out of 5 – Still great pizza! However, service could have been a bit better, but it was late so it could have been any number of issues. But, still a good place for good-to-great pizza by the slice.

05/26/16: 5 out of 5 – One of the favorites “go to” locales with my Wednesday night run group for pizza by the slice and cold beer. Definitely worth a try once and decide for yourself. I know I’ll be going back for more.
