Our family went Friday night to Pizza Roama’s new restaurant facility and sat inside enjoying a couple pies. Tried the pistachio pesto and pepperoni hot honey. Both were great but I enjoyed the pepperoni a bit more.
Their crust is fresh; nice and chewy. Sauce (pepperoni) is tangy and a bit sweet. Loved the combo.
The inside is a bit sparse but you can tell they are just getting things put together. Saw a guitar with a wood crate raised floor for Friday performances. Hope that catches on.
Prices are just a tad high, but isn’t everything these days? Don’t think you will be disappointed with the taste and texture.
With such good pizza I sure hope that Rome falls in love with Pizza Roama.
My pizza had a bit of a scorched taste. I think pizza is supposed to have a bit of a char on the bottom. But the taste was a bit too harsh for me.
I definitely liked the sauce. And the ingredients had a quality taste. I particularly liked the Italian sausage.
The dough was a bit unique, in my experience. I’m no pizza dough expert. But this dough was very much like those soft spongy bread sticks you get at some places, that are about 5-6 inches long and about 1.5 inches in diameter. Not a texture I’ve encountered much as pizza crust. It wasn’t horrible, just different. The guy that took our order was friendly and helpful. We’ll probably go back. But we’ll wait a while, to let them work out the kinks.
I’ve worked as a chef in fine dining for 15 years and this is the best pizza I have EVER had!
