decent, For a family-friendly buffet experience with a bit of everything, Pizza Ranch is a reliable choice. The main attraction is the all-you-can-eat buffet, which provides plenty of options to satisfy diverse cravings without breaking the bank. It’s a solid, casual dining spot, especially for groups with kids.very kid friendly to include a kid zone arcade. Fairly clean.

Hey guys!!! Do you like health code violations? Do you like being Gaslit by managers? Then absolutely eat here! They serve BEETLES in the blueberry pizza pie! Yum! So crunchy. My tongue still hurts. So glad I was nice about it, so nice the manager felt comfortable telling me “well it’s our word against yours” and hung up when I asked my party of 7 who all saw the beetle. Next time I promise to start screaming and puking on the buffet and making sure to tik tok the whole bug experience instead of trying to be a calm quiet human about it. This WAS (past tense) my favorite place to treat my family, this was my extended family I brought here to share my favorite place with. NEVER again. 110 people found my old 5 star post helpful before I deleted it to replace it with the recent experience. Litterally could have ever avoided any drama with kindness instead of being a jerk to me.

Still a super Fabulous place that we all Love to eat at and enjoy the fun of the aracade at! This visit was for our youngest son’s birthday party. And yes, his cake decorating was sub-par y’all, I know, lol! The Wal-Mart bakery wasn’t gunna have a decorator for a couple of days so I needed to do it And the store was literally All out of decorating tips for the icing! Crazy, lol. ‍ ‍♀️
But anywho, the Manager Cordell is Supercalifragalistic-expealidocious, as he Always provides Excellent customer service with a kind smile and super helpfulness with whatever you may need! He needs a raise actually Pizza Ranch as I have recommended parties to be thrown for other folks at That, Sterling, IL. Pizza Ranch Because of the manager Cordell and his fabulous customer service skills! Hook the brother up!
Great table bussing staff as well! They are usually always on top of their game!
But yes, the food, the arcade, and especially the clean, Christian worship music playing, This is Our fave place in our area For Sure y’all!

I used to go to a pizza buffet out by Chicago and thought that was the best I’d ever have. Pizza Ranch has changed my mind. With the friendliest staff I have seen at a buffet and a whole arcade, this is definitely an experience I would like to repeat. I liked everything I tried, from the pizza to tenders, even the ice cream.

Great variety of pizzas, sweet and savory. Fried Chicken that I drive 35 minutes each way for. Well stocked salad bar with a great selection of dressings. Good drink selections from two brand new Pepsi Machines. And vanilla soft serve with cones or cups or a root beer float for dessert.

Could be a fun option for families, especially stuck living in the middle of nowhere with everything an hour away! We’ve been three times and while the first experience was fine, it went downhill for us rapidly.

We go for the arcade, not the food lol. Second time several games were broken, which significantly impacts how much fun can be had in a small arcade. Next trip about six months later (Fall ‘25) and not only are they still out of order, several more are broken. We also had to walk around the kitchen searching for staff to check in, after waiting ten minutes at the counter. Then we had the added bonus of hair in the marinara. Extremely disgusting, and nobody seemed to care beyond the $5 game card they randomly walked over and handed us. To use in an arcade with only a few functional games…. My son is too young to go with friends so I’m stuck paying full price for a buffet to eat 1-2 tiny pizza slices at most, but I’m sure that’s company policy and it just is what it is. Of course paying for hair-free edible food would make that aspect less frustrating! We didn’t end up eating last time after scooping up the hair and seeing the subsequent lack of surprise and/or concern from the staff, so it was a very overpriced disappointment.

Fingers crossed it’ll be managed better at some point because if so, it could be a great option for kids in winter!

This place is awesome! One price covers everything including drinks and dessert. There is an arcade for the kids (and adults).
The chicken is amazing, the salad bar is very good with tons of options and of course the pizza is really great! Save room for chocolate chip pizza cookie, fruit dessert pizzas and cactus bread and soft serve ice cream! The Sterling, Illinois location really stands out for it’s amazing food quality and service.

I booked a $300 birthday package and the experience was no where near worth that our “host” came in rite when we got there said her name and left didn’t see her the rest of the time as she was working in the arcade someone else came and asked if we gave our food order to our host so she took our order for us . We sat and waited for the game cards that came with package had to ask for them 4 times before finally getting by them the arcade is a joke and we didn’t receive a free virtual reality ride for each kid that was included in $300 something package the birthday kid didn’t get no spin on the birthday wheel that they were supposed to get. Didn’t receive the birthday shirt you can color for birthday kid was told they were out of his size so got a 4 times to big pizza ranch shirt instead and had to ask about it. The pizza was good and came fast and could have as may refills on pop and ice cream never seen th “host” besides at the beginning . If you’re looking to book something like this DONT DO IT AS THE STERLING ONE I would definitely go with the one in Clinton Iowa the arcade is way bigger and way nicer but this def was not worth no $300

Dear Pizza Ranch Buffet of Sterling, Illinois,

There are places where one simply eats… and then there are places where one endures, conquers, and transcends. Pizza Ranch was the latter.

Within your walls, I did not merely dine—I embarked upon a quest. A pilgrimage of pizza, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and dessert pizza so sweet it defied all known nutritional science. I returned to the buffet line not once, not twice, but as many times as the human spirit allowed.

Each plate was a declaration of independence from portion control. Each bite, a reminder that restraint is optional and joy is mandatory. The fried chicken—crispy, golden, and dangerously easy to underestimate—stood bravely beside the pizza, forming an alliance unmatched in modern cuisine.

And then… the dessert pizza. A creation so bold, so unapologetic, it laughed in the face of balance and whispered, “One more slice.” I listened. Every time.

Pizza Ranch Buffet, you were not just a restaurant. You were a proving ground for hunger. A sanctuary for the brave. A place where belts were loosened and regrets were postponed until tomorrow.

May your buffet always be full,
May your plates remain structurally sound,
And may no one ever judge how many times a person returns for “just one more.”

With deep respect and questionable decisions,
A Survivor of the Buffet Line

We had a little employee (past & present) reunion here. We had a room to ourselves but the staff was very attentive, coming back frequently to remove used plates & to see that we didn’t need anything. Food was great & plentiful. We had a great time. Thank you, Pizza Ranch!
