I stopped in for lunch today between 2:15 and 3:00 so not exactly a peak meal time. I’ve been to more Pizza Ranch restaurants than most people and this one has the best staff. They are friendly, attentive, didn’t judge me for my huge appetite and continued to replenish food and clean the place up. The soft serve machine was unfortunately out of service and the gentleman working offered me a cup of ice cream from the back which deserves five stars on its own. Most other locations’ employees make it clear they just want me to set the tongs down and get out! Haha. Overall, I’m impressed with this Pizza Ranch and recommend trying it out. If I’m ever in the greater Portage area again I’ll make it a point to stop here again. Thanks so much!

My family and I just went to pizza ranch as we haven’t been for a while. During our visit, none of the food was fresh, everything was either cold or luke warm. I had some chicken noodle soup and it was room temperature. Not very much chicken was on the buffet and my mother’s piece of dark meat barely had any meat on it. This location used to be really good but unfortunately the quality of the buffet has gone down hill. We also had a stack of about 7 plates on our table waiting to be picked up from the staff, while they were cleaning other tables and walking by ours. We were going to mention our experience while we were there, but no staff member was seen for about the last 15 minutes we were there. Safe to say we won’t be back for quite some time.

We were en route elsewhere and needed somewhere quick to grab some food, we tried a couple of sit down restaurants but the wait was over 45 mins. In a pinch we stopped here and it was clean and food was fresh- nice salad bar and the chicken noodle soup was good, pizza and chicken also seemed very fresh. Servers were very courteous – it was a surprise and surpassed my expectations. Job well done!

There was a little bit of a disturbance when we went to lunch yesterday – not really sure what happened but a lady was asked to leave and she was shouting and raising a huge fuss when told to leave. I could hear her shouting out to the parking lot. But it seemed like the matter was handled swiftly and the accusations this woman was shouting seems like they were being made because she was upset.
My family and kiddo had a fun time eating pizza and playing games and I think it was the manager who came and helped my little out at the prize counter. He was very attentive to what sort of prizes she wanted and was making her laugh and smile. If we’re in the Portage area again we’ll probably stop here as well.

Wonderful, just wonderful. A modern up to date building with a rustic touch. Some of the best food I’ve ever had ( and not just limited to pizza ). Decent price also and a great seating capacity. Enjoyed immensely.

Lots of choice for the buffet from salad bar to chicken and taters to obviously pizza. Not best selection of pizzas but a nice verity. There is also a desert bar with free ice cream.
The service was very friendly and welcoming. They collected our dishes really quickly.
Would recommend.

So we show up expecting a nice dinner. Are met with all these extra procedures for covid which is totally fair but they could have told us before we paid. The pizza out on the buffet was cold, the broccoli pizza smells and looks rancid, chicken was cold and had been sitting out so long it was burnt from heat tray underneath. Got a refund but still very disappointed

Decided to take some Pizza Ranch wings home as we’d never tried them. Boy, were we disappointed. Called ahead for pickup. Server on phone quoted us $12.57 for 8 wings. Imagine our surprise when presented with a bill for over $15. We thought we were getting charged extra for sauce. Turns out that 8 wings are actually $14.57. Cashier, not server, was supposed to check back with us after talking to server but never did. Just left us hanging there at the window. That’s $1.82 each for THE smallest wing pieces we’ve ever seen. Each piece is MAYBE as long as the first two knuckles on my index finger. In fact, seen bigger wings on a Monarch Butterfly. Check the images for size comparison. Gonna vote with our money and certainly won’t be wasting it on teeny-tiny Pizza Ranch wings again.
