This Pizza Pie Cafe seems like it is struggling to keep up with their many customers. It is a college town after all, so that is not surprising. The selection is varied, the food is tasty (especially the pasta sauces), and the workers are friendly. And the decorations are cool. And they do take pizza requests, but you need to get them in as soon as you arrive to reap the benefits.
Here is what would have made our visit better:
1. Get rid of the booth seating!!! Honestly, for a buffet restaurant, booth seating is ridiculous. People constantly have to make everyone on their side of the table get up so they can revisit the buffets. Then when they come back, everyone has to move again. How can anyone sit down and eat in peace with having to move…and move… and move out of the way.
2. Fix the broken automatic hand towels in the women’s bathroom. It is more sanitary to wash and completely dry hands. And in a buffet setting, ensuring your customers have clean hands is very important.
3. Make combo pizza a regular option.
4. Have the bus boys clear away plates more often, especially with larger groups. Our table was never cleared and we had a group of 12, so the plates really stacked up on our tables.
5. Install better, brighter lighting.
6. Fix your fly problem.
That might sound like a lot a cons. I do recommend this for a pizza buffet. The ingredient lists are pretty clean, too. Like they use real cream in their sauces, ect.
If the owner would take the time to install some upgrades, and the workers would stay on top of things like working hand towels and cleaning tables faster (or maybe they just need more workers hired to deal effectively with their workload), then a three star restaurant could become a five star restaurant.

It’s pizza pie cafe. Big variety. First time I’d been back in years and it was an amazing refresher. I had pasta I had pizza then more pasta. I love the variations. Everting about this restaurant is amazing. It’s one of a kind and haven’t seen something like this in any nearing state. I LOVE THE SALAD BAR.

Showed up on a Friday night at 6:00. Got right in to the conference room area. $11 per adult. A little bit chaos in lines but not too bad. Pizza is great. They have salad bar and pasta bar included too. Everyone was full and happy.

I wish I could give it 2.5 stars because it was pretty mid. There’s nothing wrong with it but it’s not amazing either.
We got checked in after a few minutes. The lines to get the food we’re not super long (we went around 5:30). And the booth we sat on was pretty clean.
The salad was normal, and the pasta kind of bland (and for some reason it had quite a bit of water). The pizzas are probably the best part of this restaurant. The best item is definitely de oreo pizza, I would come back just to have that lol.
$11 for all you can eat is a decent deal, but yeah don’t expect to be blown away.

Pizza Pie Cafe has the all-you-can-eat-pizza-buffet of Pizza Ranch blended with the a small portion of comfort and service of Righteous Slice. The Buffalo pizza is by far the best pizza they have with all the others trailing close behind. Great spot to hang out with friends.

Pizza pie Cafe is through and through a pizza buffet. There are a ton of different pizza flavors to choose from. Gluten options will cost extra though for those who may need to consider that. Loads of other different menu options are also available, such as a really solid salad bar, and even various pasta options. As is customary to most restaurants that charge for drinks, they do it shamelessly, as $2.99 for a soft serve drink is kind of steep even for the area especially. The pizza itself though is better than Little Caesars, but falls short somewhere before Pizza Hut and other various chains in terms of flavor for some of the pizzas. Highly recommend finishing off with some of the dessert pizzas, they are a worth while experience by itself.
I have personally been to this location several times, the customer service experience is either rock solid or has some room for improvement, overall though, this is a great option for a pizza buffet eatery in the Rexburg Area.

Love this place. I remember the original Craigo’s, but this place is upgraded. The desert pizza is the best. For $11 for all you can eat, this is a deal. Definitely don’t have room to eat the crust. Lol.

Consistent quality compared to the Idaho falls locations. I like knowing I can enter a restaurant chain in a different town but receive the same level and quality of food. The salad bar was well stocked, the pizzas we’re hot and the ice was cold. The employees were friendly and helpful. I actually liked the layout of this location better than my local Idaho Falls restaurant. Not saying it’s right or wrong, just my personal opinion. Great decor as well!
