This pizza was SO well cooked and was delicious! Our favorite was the spicy jalapeno/hot honey/pineapple/pepperoni. Definitely a different style than any other pizza place in BloNo – the crust was salty, crunchy perfection. We will definitely be back!

Edit to add more photos. This restaurant is so consistently delicious. The pizzas are always perfectly cooked and it is our favorite pizza place in town!

Keep in mind that reviews are personal opinions. This one is my opinion of what I received through GrubHub. I basically live in hotels due to work so I eat a lot of take out. Some is very good and some, well not so much. This falls in the not so much category for sure. The first thing I’ll say is the service was excellent. I had pizza in hand less than 30 minutes from the time I placed the order through GrubHub’s app. This pizza was $27.50 plus fees and tip which came to over $37.00. I’ve never eaten at Pizza Payaa even though I’ve been in Bloomington for a month and a half so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The first thing that didn’t make me very happy was the sheer size of the pizza. It was the size if my hand which would probably be considered average to small. I’m only 5’10”. Next, as you can see from the pics, the pizza wasn’t sliced. I actually called Pizza Payaa and the lady told me I would have had to request it online if I wanted it sliced. Huh? Now, mind you, I’m not aware of many hotel rooms that have pizza slicers in them. I had to use a steak knife. I realize that is trivial because I’m a man who is very capable of slicing his own pizza but it kind of surprised me, nonetheless. Lastly, in my opinion, this isn’t actually a pizza at all. It is so thick, they should call it a pepperoni cake instead. I paid an additional $3.00 for extra cheese around the edges. I think they forgot the cheese in the middle of the pizza and they really skipped out on the pepperoni as well. Flavor-wise, the pepperoni and cheeze was very good. The crispy cheese on the edges was fantastic. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past the other things that I didn’t like so the slice you see in the picture is the only piece I ate. There was way too much breading (sorry, it was too thick to call it crust). For $27.50 plus tax and tip, I don’t feel as though I got even near my money’s worth even had I eaten it all. It was a real shame throwing it out, for sure. I’m sure they have lots of repeat customers who like pizza made that way but not this guy.

Wow!!! I take my hat off to Pizza Payaa for an incredibly delicious and pleasurable dining experience!!! I am a proud owner of The Original Pinsaria Pizza in town, and I am a HUGE fan of Adam Elpayaa and his amazing crew at Pizza Payaa. I ate there with my business partner today and was blown away by the excellent warm friendly service, the stunningly beautiful restaurant, the relaxing and fun ambiance, and the absolutely amazing menu and exciting specialty drinks. We ordered a sausage, mushroom and double cheese Detroit style pizza created to perfection. The dough was light, tasty and perfectly baked, the shredded mozzarella and the fresh mozz were crazy yummy, robust and soooo good! The homemade tomato sauce was fresh and scrumptious. The sausage is prepared in a way for the pizzas that offers a powerfully pleasurable taste experience. Just wonderful, really!
I spend a significant amount of time in Italy and love tasting the different foods from the various regions there. One of my favorites is artisan baked focaccia bread. We were served a new creation of chicken brushed focaccia bread that is literally the best focaccia I have ever tasted!!! It was served with a light crisp outside and a tender flavorful inside, and the killer was that is had a magically exquisite hint of savory roasted chicken that was an experience you won’t want to miss. I am not exaggerating at all, please go there or order online and feel the pleasure. It is well worth making one of your top spots to dine in Bloomington Normal. Buonissimo!!!

Good pizza, although pricey. Excellent dough — you can really feel the difference. I thought the pizzas were a tad light on the sauce and would’ve liked more. Followed their reheating instructions but it didn’t quite taste the same the following day. Mike’s hot honey was a real winner. Excellent customer service. Anthony was super friendly and nice.

It’s not bad, but it wasn’t amazing. I like traditional pizza toppings and the one I actually wanted to try was seasonal and I was visiting during the wrong season. So I had to settle and it was fresh and good, but nothing special and I was looking for special. Otherwise, awesome servers and I like the restaurant.

I didn’t know this place was shared with Mass VR but was happy to hear a new location is opening up in Uptown Normal.

I ended up trying the Honey badger pizza which contained cheese, pepperoni, sausage and fresh basil. We also can’t forget my favorite additon to the pizza, Hot Honey! This was such a surprising and delicious addition to the pizza and they have bottles for $12 to take home and enjoy. The pizzas flavors were amazing but I have to hightlight how crispy the crust was. The crunch added another welcomed addition to the pizza.

I ended up ordering an additional pizza to take home and enjoy for the weekend. It tasted just as good when I heated up in the air fryer and pizazzaz.

Very good deep dish style pizza. We had the Red Sausage and The Fig And The Pig pizzas. As others have noted this location does not have a great atmosphere to dine in, I would highly recommend take out. You can dine in at their uptown location.

I wish I lived in Bloomington, IL, just for this place! Stopped by on a trip to Texas and I am blown away!
The interior is very cute and cozy, filled with greenery and lights.
The staff is spectacular and feels very kind and personal.
And the pizza is perfect. A nice chunk, not too expensive, and the perfect ratio. Not too much cheese, or sauce. Crunchy crust with a soft interior. And when those ‘ronis curl, you know its good!
Take the time to check it out. You won’t regret it.

My wife and I went here after being told by many people that the food and the whole experience here was excellent. Upon entry we were greeted by multiple employees. The atmosphere was very nice, and felt very welcoming. We decided to get the Honey Badger and the Cheesy Breadsticks. The food came out nice and hot and the portion sizes were very good. Needless to say, we left full and happy. We will definitely come back and continue spreading the word to all of our friends and family.

Pizza Payaa still is my favorite pizza hands down!
They have specialty pizzas that I haven’t had anywhere else and their choice of toppings for them are an art form that makes your taste buds jump for joy.
This time I had the “Double Lobster Payaa” which is 2 Cold Water Lobster Tails in Calabrian Chili Oil, Creamy White Garlic Sauce, Fresh Scallions & a Lemon Squeeze!
These pizza pies are a bit pricey but oh so worth it.
Highly Recommended!
