A drive-in pizzeria that also sells onion rings and salads is a rather odd combination, but the Pizza Palace has been a Knoxville, Tenn., staple for decades.

What an amazing experience. Food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The onion rings were colossal. The meat sauce was absolutely perfect. Pizza was a hit. Spend $72 and fed my family of 5 with leftovers.

Pizza Palace has been on my bucket list since I saw it on diners and drive ins years ago. Finally visited this weekend and was not disappointed. We got a small pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was delicious. Loved everything about the pizza from the crust to the toppings. Definitely bring or ask for extra napkins if you plan on eating in your car. We also love onion rings so had to try them. They look great and are huge but like others have said they need some type of seasoning to make them great. Even just a little seasoning salt would be a great improvement. Overall we were highly pleased with our food and would definitely eat here again. Also note this is a drive in only with no place to eat in case you haven’t already read that somewhere.

Tried it on a whim. Had big reservations because it looked so generic. But I was super shocked by how good it was.

Then, not long after trying iy they magically appeared on YouTube DDD with Guy.

So far, I have had

Pizza: really good, lots of toppings. Sauce could use a little more tang. But really good.

Spaghetti: Al Dente, lots of sauce. Meat balls tender and well seasoned.

Lasagna: Hearty, tender, and delicious.

Veal: Tender, juicy, and well seasoned.

Salad: Just a plain water lettuce salad. There’s nothing to rave about.

Staff: Everyone has been friendly and helpful.

Recently spent some time in Knoxville, TN and found out they had a ‘pizza drive-in’ called Pizza Palace! I’ve never been to a drive-in pizza place, so had to give it a try.

The food itself is average, but the experience was really cool. Like a typical drive-in (like Sonic), you find a parking spot, check out the menu and press the button to order. Like a movie, the speakers are very old, making it very hard to hear the person taking your order, but we managed. Unlike most places, Pizza Palace only takes cash, so when they bring the order to your car, you pay at that point.

Overall service was fast and friendly. Food was hot and fresh. Again not the best pizza or wings, but experience definitely makes this place worth a visit!

Great tradition of Knoxville to eat here. Not hyped on the food personally, but everyone I know loves it. And everyone has there own taste so I cant knock it. Old school vibe, and staff is friendly.

Located on historic Magnolia Avenue. Family owned pizzeria and the best place for onion rings and pie. Love these folks.

Busy place! It smelled so good in there. We went in to order since it was our first time. Amazing how each person has an assigned job. We both got meatball sub, delicious. It came with potato chips and coleslaw. There is a menu by the front door. It does say cash only.

Some of their employees need to know how to address customers & not accuse customers of being bums. If a customer decides to help another customer, it is between THEM. I know the area could be bad sometimes but you don’t treat anyone like because simply you don’t know how their day is going. There is NO excuse for them to say what was said because of homeless people hanging around begging. That doesn’t have anything to do with me❗️In case you didn’t know, YES homeless people are humans too. Regardless of the fact, I was taught to be respectful & help others if you can. That’s the problem with people in today’s . It costs nothing to be kind Since repeated paying customers are bums( “In Quotation Marks”) the tip she thought she was going to get. I am going to pay it forward to someone who really would gladly appreciate it.
