Authentic Neapolitan style pizza made-to-order in a 170 year-old building and inspired by the fabled town of Norcia, Italy – where truffles are hunted, hams are hung, and monks make the world’s best beer. Amazing place! We’ve tried pizza at many different spots, but nothing compares to how delicious it is here — definitely the best! Great variety and excellent quality. We ordered two pizzas, including a simple cheese one for our daughter — she usually only eats one slice, but this time she nearly finished the whole thing herself. The pizza was ready very quickly, and the staff was super friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We live 122 miles away in Danville, CA but make it a point to eat at Pizza Norcia whenever we visit our son who lives in Eldorado Hills. I am a Chicago boy so I am very particular about pizza. There is a lot of “junk” pizza in California. Pizza Norcia is an exception. The pizza here is outstanding and the ambience of the restaurant gets 5 stars. And as an added value, you get to visit historic El Dorado, CA.

We tried the Niccolò and Combinazione pizzas as well as the mixed green salad. The food was great and the customer service was even better. We also enjoyed the Italian sodas. Looking forward to a return visit.

Oh my gosh, the pizzas at Pizza Norcia are outstanding. They are wood fired giving the crust a gorgeous blister. The crust is made from a sourdough starter giving it a darn delicious flavor and perfect chew. It’s so satisfying to pick up a fresh, hot slice and watch that stunning cheese stretch. And better yet the flavors are just heavenly. Mmm.
I’m in synch with this place. Luv the pizzas and Italian imported sodas. The staff are so darn down to earth and welcoming.
The building is in a renovated brick building with a roll up fancy restaurant window/garage door. They keep the roll up door open providing a view to the main road. Tranquil view. But the dining room can get warm in a triple D summer day even with the AC running and the patio misters on. Digging the vibes and I don’t say that about a lot of other eateries in this area of the town of El Dorado, CA.
Logistics:
Ordering is done in the inner room. They bring the food out to you.
Menu offerings:
Pizzas $17-$29. +$2 for gluten free pizza. Two salad options $11, $17. The imported Italian sodas are tasty and a lot less sweeten than domestic pop. Plus they even have a lunch menu served daily from 2-4pm. I know those hours aren’t quite lunch, more like lunner or dinch time. Anyways the lunch menu offer smaller pizzas ( pizzettas) for $11 for margherita or two toppings, for $4 more you can make it a meal with soft drink and green salad. And only at lunch, they serve the Italian sandwich.
They have weekday specials, current ones are: two pie Tuesday $55 for any two pies (excluding Abbot) and bottle of wine; three pie Thursday $49 for 3 pies from a select menu.

Fantastic pizzas! (One star reduction on the service because I had to go in and get our wine as the couldn’t find us.)
It was very busy when we were there with a few kids running around unsupervised. Not Norcia’s fault, but something to consider. Otherwise, this place is great and we will be back.

This place is really great! Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with excellent food. Service was top notch and extremely friendly. Could not recommend this place more.
Also, they make their own gluten-free dough. My daughter has Celiac so I like to give a shout out to those pizza people that don’t just default to an Udi crust.
We will be back to try it out.

They’re woodfire pizza was really good. It’s all about the crust . I had a salad with vinaigrette dressing was good to. Only negative was it was really cold in there. They needed to bring the outside patio heaters to inside.

First time here – we actually drove across the county line, and past a few towns to get to the closest wood fire pizza. It didnt disappoint. Wife and i shared a pizza and salad, even though on Tuesdays they have a 2 pies and a bottle of wine special. Pizza was good, could have been baked a little longer, but the flavor was great. Mixed green salad was very good. Both were very filling, as we even came home with a couple of slices left over. Ambience and atmosphere was probably the best part. Limited on street parking. Cant wait to come back with some friends/family.

I have thyroid problems and a history of difficulty disgesting gluten. At this place, so far after a few hours, I haven’t experienced any bad reactions. They fermented the flour for I think 36hrs and its imported from Italy.
I also believe they don’t use bad oils or even have a freezer. Everything tasted so fresh and full of flavor. The price is pretty cheap for the quality of food. I would definitely stop by again.
** Also, I wanted to mention that the customer service was great. Several times the staff acknowledged us, brought extra items, and sparked friendly conversation.

It’s true, the food here is AMAZING! The atmosphere is really cool! The service though, is a bit spotty. We ordered the Norcino and the Margherita and, of course, they were so delicious! Our son, who usually only likes cheese pizza, ate half of the Margherita pizza! We were impressed because he is such a picky eater. It felt like maybe they were understaffed on the night that we went. We arrived just before 6pm and they were out of plates, napkins, water cups and empty tables still hadn’t been cleaned. The person behind the counter did not want to be there, just very monotone and never smiled. It could have just been an off night. The food though, the food is wonderful and I recommend it!
