After visiting Uffizi, we patiently stood in line for this culinary experience! It was worth the wait. Amazing burrata and sausage pizza. Take note your pie comes uncut. But that makes it easier to share. Best lunch for our entire trip.

Neapolitan pizza in Florence
After an inspiring visit to the Uffizi Gallery, we wanted something equally satisfying for dinner. After a few unsuccessful attempts to get into central trattorias without a reservation, we ended up at a place with a bold name: Pizza Napoli 1955.
The interior is classic: Napoli football logos, Italian sacks, jars, and shelves. But the most important part is the pizza itself. We ordered two classics: Margherita and Prosciutto. The Margherita was solid, but the Prosciutto was outstanding thanks to the quality of the meat. The dough is thin, the basil is added on top, and even though the oven is electric, the result is surprisingly authentic and truly delicious Neapolitan pizza.

Definitely recommend.
Location: Via dei Neri, 73r.

P.S. You can order it in a heart shape ♥️
I refused, convinced it would be smaller than the round one

I almost always go to Pizza Napoli when I am in Florence. The mood is set by the long lines right outside the door where people are waiting for their chance to get a panini at the world famous sandwich maker Antico Vinaio. It’s presence there means that there’s always a festive atmosphere on the streets.

That atmosphere carries into Pizza Napoli, Which has a simple menu filled with – – you guessed it, all pizza, which you can see in my photo. There’s nothing but pizza and drinks Yet that’s what you were there for.

There are many great choices on the menu and I’ve had most of them. They will be served to piping hot and you may just need a knife to get through it all. The crust is in true Napoli style, thick and crunchy and a perfect handle to pick up your slice.

I’ve been to Naples, where my family has its roots, and.to me Pizza Napoli honors the pizza history of Naples as well as any pizza restaurant in Florence.

I love pizza Napoli! It is one of my staple spots in florence and never disappoints. My go-to pizza is the 1955. Another great thing, if you request they will make the pizza in the shape of a heart, which is super adorable. Plus, it makes for a good photo and an even better memory.

I stopped for lunch and they made us wait 20 minutes to be seated. As soon as we sat down, we realized we were in front of a large air vent that was bothering us, so we asked to change tables. After that, we sat at another table, but the air was still blowing so hard that we weren’t comfortable. After ordering the pizzas they arrived very quickly and the dough was very light and the overall taste was good. Our experience was uncomfortable due to the atmosphere. If you want to eat at this pizzeria, I recommend booking a table and bringing a sweatshirt.

Pizzas were above average, which is why I scored the food a 4.
Service was fairly quick, staff were nice
It’s a pizza place so not much in the way of atmosphere to have it rate above a 4

Firstly, this pizza spot is absolutely gorgeous with such a great atmosphere. It was the first bite of food I had in Italy and during my second trip it was only right that I went here first! It was the same experience as the first. Delicious pizza served quickly for a phenomenal price. €9.50 for a margherita pizza that fully satisfied me with half still remaining for the next day (not to mention I’m never bloated the next day)! I loved their pesto pizza as well. Their tomato sauce is insane. My friend ordered the salame is it was fantastic. We went here 4x during our week stay lol, I hope they never close up shop!

Wonderful pizza in Florence! Came on out first night, jet lagged and hungry. The staff were so kind and friendly, the pizza was fresh and delicious. We ordered the margherita pizza and prosciutto pizza. Highly recommend! The crust and tomato sauce were amazing. I now understand why there’s a pizza with only sauce offered. So good we came back out last night for take away and it was just as delicious. Skip the sandwich lines and eat here instead.

The pizza is just covered in sauce, I like a lot of sauce on a pizza but you could drink it off of the pizza. There also wasn’t much Mozarella and the pizza overall just wasn’t very good. We were so hungry after the Uffizi gallery and when the food came out and my girlfriend took her first bite she was so disappointed, she ate 2 slices and we took the rest in a box to give away. The food is overpriced and you can get much nicer pizzas for cheaper all around. The managing lady has a very dismissive and rude attitude and I would say this is just a tourist trap and I cannot understand why there are any positive reviews. Don’t waste your money going here.
