Definitely at least a 4 ⭐️ experience; food, drinks and service! The food was sooooo good I forgot to take pictures of the two main dishes my son and I had. The Pear Martini was wonderful, just perfect to my liking! It has been a while since I made it to one, and I’m glad we made the call. Definitely will stop by many more times since my son will be in the area soon! Thank you!

We were in a rush on a Friday night to get a delicious dinner and Pizza Man delivered! They seated us right away, the wait staff was super friendly and accommodating, the thin crust pizza was great! We got the Carnivoro and the meats were delicious. Recommend for a great night out!

It’s been a minute since we’ve eaten at the reknown Pizza Man. The 2025 experience was mixed with a renovated interior really keeping this business relevant. The food was simply not worth the price, or maybe I’m just just not a fan of the ingredients on the atomico pizza. The crust was crispy and the pizza did feel light which I appreciate but the sopressata, Calabrian pepper combo just didn’t quite balance itself out and tasted a bit off. The carbonara pasta was also out of balance, tasting a bit too salty but maybe I’m not a huge pancetta fan after all. I suspect we would have enjoyed other items on the menu like the Topher or the ravioli. But who knows! The grilled calamari was good, but quite portions were small. I would recommend visiting for the upstairs patio deck alone, which overlooks Downer Ave. You could tell that everyone sitting there was really lingering and enjoying every moment of a beautiful summer evening.

A lovely and delicious meal at Pizza Man. This was our first time dining in since they closed this location and moved back. The ambiance is very relaxing, with mood lighting and live jazz. The service was exceptional. My apple salad was perfect as was my wine selection. I’m very happy Pizza Man is back in the neighborhood and will be back soon!

This review is for a corporate party in Pizza Man’s second floor private space. From the moment I connected with Isaac, the special events coordinator, to the end of our event he made it clear that he was there to meet our needs. Isaac understood the special needs of our team building event with access to drinks and food. Our pizzas were delicious, but more importantly the staff knew the perfect cadence for offering refreshed drinks without feeling like they were hovering. One person on our team happened to be having a birthday and they were very welcoming of us bringing in a cake, and even let me drop it off in advance so it could be a surprise. Everyone we encountered was friendly and service was outstanding. Our team had a very positive experience.

After having served and managed at Pizza man Downer and the shortly lived Mequon locations from 2020-2022, and raving about them to this day, I had go back to introduce my girlfriend to my favorite slice of pizza in Milwaukee.
The renovation has done away with the wooden booths, walls, and bar tops, but makes up for that loss of character with a very clean and refreshing aesthetic that is arguably more in line with its upscale (but not fancy) vibe.
The food and our server Jaden were fantastic! Incredibly personable and came to check on us multiple times.
The pizza toppings were a little too large and not spread out enough, but that can vary based on who’s working the line on any given night.

My husband and I went with 2 other couples to the whiskey pairing dinner on December 23, and it was impeccable! The plating was just as thoughtful as the dishes. The chef and sous chef have so much passion for their craft and that was clear. Can’t wait to return! Looking out for their special events, too!

My girlfriend and I came in for dinner and a drink. The truffle fries were good, would definitely get again. The pizza was also good, some of the best in Milwaukee. The only thing that was better than the food was the service! Megan took care of us and it was the best service I have gotten in Milwaukee. We’ve been going to pizza man on and off since the North Ave days. This iteration is great. Thin crust pizza is flavorful and light. Toppings are well prepared. Our server Justin was prompt, personable and warm. Try the crème brûlée for dessert!
