I’ve never had a bad experience at Pizza John’s. Recently, I’ve been obsessed with their create your own pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni. The little cup pepperoni get crispy on the sides and are so tasty. The cheese has the best cheese pull and its like magic on your taste buds.

I have lived in Essex all my 43 years and I occasionally went to Pizza John’s. We have tried other places. When I say we go right back to Pizza John’s….we go running back lol. My husband just bought the wings and they were made just right! He loved them and will not go anywhere else from now on! The cheesesteak and the fish subs are sooo good! Of course the pizza is amazing. We are now officially Pizza John’s customers for life.

Being a first-time customer, I went for a 16-inch “Meat Lovers” pizza for $33.35, along with a 64oz pitcher of Pepsi for $8.15 for lunch. The pizza toppings consist of cheese, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and ham. Do not expect to find salami or chicken; they were not included as toppings, and Parmesan was not sprinkled on top of the whole pizza. Since this pizza parlor does NOT offer table service, every customer gets his or her ordered item(s) from the counter when ready. Once, I tried to sample a slice of pizza as quickly as possible, not realizing how hot it was, which nearly numbed my taste buds. Overall, it tasted so much better than the Plano-based pizza restaurant chain. But what really disappointed me was that this pizza parlor does not offer Margarita pizza or Chicago-style deep- dish pizzas on the menu. Next time, I will look forward to sampling either “Vegetarian” or “The Works” pizza.

This is our first visit, and there were plenty of parking spaces available. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we liked the spacious, bright, and clean interior. After finding our seats, we went to the counter to place our order.
I don’t like overly sour flavors, and the pizza here has plenty of cheese and is delightfully sweet. The pizza sauce isn’t too sour, but you can still taste the freshness of the tomatoes. The kids were also very satisfied. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which was generous in portion size and tasted very authentic. He really enjoyed it.
We were too full to order dessert, but we loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. We plan to visit again for dessert next time.

We went here on the second day of our vacation as we used to come all the time before we moved out to Colorado. Just like back then the pizza was fantastic as were the crab cakes. I wish my grandmother was still alive as she used to come with us all the time here. It brought back so many memories coming here again after so long.

The customer service is great . But the food the past few visits has not . We are loyal customers. The past few times we’ve gotten from pizza John’s pick up, our Sicilian cheese pizza was extremely runny, which means they cut the pizza too early and the cheese was super super thick. They’re not done well enough for us and we ask for well done and our pepperoni pizza look like it was cut way too early as well

I love the pizza here and it’s usually what I order. The pasta dishes are decent but nothing spectacular, as this is not fine-dining Italian food by any means, but the quality matches the price. All their subs are great, though, which is what I’ll order if not getting a pizza. I don’t live in the area anymore, but I try to stop here when visiting family and friends. I’ve been coming here for over 40 years, and the pizza is the same as I remember way back in the 80s.
