COMPLAINT- Pizza Jac’s Home Cooking Bistreaux

I visited with my family and friends to this restaurant on October 19, 2012 for dinner. We had visited this establishment several times before and liked it very much. Last night, unfortunately, the sub-standard food quality AND SERVICE from the owner and his girlfriend really dampened our spirits.
The dinner started off in a very disappointing way. It wasn’t the normal “overly welcoming” we usually get.
The person who took our order did not write it down, so the order was wrong when we received it. Though we had ordered an assortment of foods we were all disappointed. I ordered a steak that was almost $30. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it arrived well done. Although it was tasty and I would have not said anything; but that is not the only thing that went wrong.
When we asked for more napkins, drinks and a spoon for the baby in our family, we never received them. We saw the owner walking around and asked him to get these items for us. His attitude was demeaning and he went outside and never came back into the restaurant. We waited and waited and never received the items. We could not continue meal without them so I went outside to ask him about it and he just blew up! It was like I was bothering him!
I went back into the restaurant and asked his girlfriend about this, and she said “This is the way we run our business. Ya’ll can go. The dinner is “comp.” (She meant we did not have to pay for dinner). Not ONE apology was given to us.
Needless to say, we left without finishing dinner.
I do not think they can handle a heavy crowd. There were not enough workers to handle last night and it was not packed.
There being no redeeming feature in this establishment last night, we will NOT be returning. We felt we were bothering them.
I hope in the future the quality of their food AND SERVICE is able to IMPROVE.
