PIZZA is out of this world. Ive eaten pizza in all sorts of places but i keep coming back here. The pizza was so good after a long day and it was really high quality. It had a lot of cheese and tasted great and the prices were good too. For me, there are many different pizza places but here i come back again and again and again. The staff are so nice and if your looking for a good slice of pizza or something else this is a great place.

Pizza Italia is a hidden gem for amazing pizza at a great price in the Bronx close to the Bronx Zoo. We found this place after a long day at the zoo. They have $1.50 slices and $11 large pies so you can not go wrong either way.
Only a couple tables inside but there is a park 100 feet away so you can sit there as well. The owner and staff are super friendly. The place is constantly busy but most everyone grabs their slice and then they leave.
We ordered a large pie and while we were waiting for only 8 minutes a minimum of 5 different people came in and commented to the owner that this is their favorite pizza!
If you are looking for a dollar pizza that is the locals favorite pizza place in the Bronx NYC then you found the spot.

Place WAS great. New ownership has ruined this establishment. Food is horrible, they never get the orders right. The garlic sticks were pale, no flavor. Everything was such a disappointment. Everything in the baked ziti was over cooked , from the pasta to the chicken. The stuffed shells were drowning in tomato sauce. The new owner has really brought this business down.

The only thing Italian about pizza Italia is the name (although I did taste a smidgen of oregano).
However, for $2.25, it’s not a bad slice.
Decent amount of cheese and sauce, and decent size.

One of my favorite go to places when I visit my old stomping grounds. Their Pizza is the best in the BX hands down! Real Italian made Pizza A+ Family run, Staff is friendly and helpful & polite. The prices are reasonable, & not hard on your wallet. All in all a must visit if you’re interested in buying really Good Pizza.

Wings were great, I’ll be back for more. Tried garlic knots, smelled good and tasted good, you can see and smell the garlic. Pizza was good, I will definitely get a pie next time.
Overall I’m glad I took the walk for this quality of food, I do not have local pizza shops by anymore.
