So on an unspecified day last week, I ordered a Big New Yorker. Just cheese, light sauce.
Ordered at 1214pm, the pizza is going to arrive at 1250pm. Cool, it’s around lunch, I expected the wait. At 1255pm PizzaHut says it’s on its way, via their website. I am excited.
115pm rolls around, my wife is hungry, I’m hungry, we call to ask what’s going on with our order.
The poor girl that answered the phone seemed so depressed. She said that they only have one delivery driver, and they are out right now. She says they’ll order a dasher to delivery our pizza.
I say okay, and hang up, satisfied with her solution.
At 145pm, my wife and I hear some sort of yelling coming from the hallway. We assume it’s the neighbors and peek out to see if we can catch what’s going on.
Sitting in the ground, in the center of the hallway is our pizza and the 2 liter I ordered.
I pick up the pizza, it is cold on the bottom.
I open the pizza. It’s a New Yorker with double pepperoni.
This is not our pizza. I double check my order to make sure I didn’t screw up because my wife cannot eat pork.
I didn’t screw up.
We call again to ask what happened to our cheese pizza and to also let them know it was cold, on the ground, no one knocked or called when it was delivered, and we didn’t really want to pay for a cold pizza we weren’t going to eat.
The girl stated that the pizza we received was the last New Yorker and they didn’t have any left.
Did… did they run out of dough?
No, they ran out of the New Yorker sized boxes which was why ours was a little squished.
I told her the box was fine. It was the pepperoni that was the problem. It’s not the right pizza. My wife has a food allergy.
How can we fix this?
So she offers store credit.
My Wife states we will be there shortly.
When we arrive the store looks closed.
The chairs are all up, the lights are off, no one is at the counter or in the kitchen.
Turns out, there was one single person running the whole store. One.
Taking all the orders, making all the pizzas.
One!
We order our cheese pizza, on the house, get it in 15 mins and go home.
Pizza Hut needs to do better. You can’t have one person running an entire store. Not only is it miserable for that person, it’s irresponsible of management and dangerous for the workers.

Greeted well and order was ready upon arrival. Good there. Ordered wings, their new Detroit style, bread sticks, a cheese pizza and chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo was good, the kids liked it. The chicken of the wings were very good, sauce was clumped into the container and spread about very little. The cheese pizza was slightly over cooked, but still good. The bread sticks tasted as if they weren’t made from fresh dough. My wife and I were excited to try the Detroit style in hopes it was a close comparison to Buddy’s Detroiter. Nope. Not close. It was a deep dish with gobs of sauce dumped on top. We should have stuck with the pan or stuffed crust.

I rate Pizza Hut five stars they are very nice people they cut the pizza they have different they have different size pizzas they have flatbreads and different things like that they have coupons and their wheelchairs accessible they do deliver they accept cash and they accept cash check and credit card and debit card they do have Mobile payment so I would suggest if you have any other questions give them a call they are not alcohol they they do not have alcohol well hey there this is Tanya I had a ham and pineapple thin crust pizza tonight and it was very good the crust was was very crispy on the just the way just the way I like it the person the person who Marcus he was very he was very knowledgeable and he and now they have like a and I guess and and they text you in a few when it will be when it will be arriving and when it will be coming and it’s a very good service and you don’t even have to pay for it but there’s only one complaint that I have that that I asked Marcus I said please don’t call me ma’am I don’t like that and and I asked very nicely and of course you should not argue with your customers you know or you shouldn’t say well you know I was brought up this way I can’t help it what was brought up this way I can’t help it yes you can you know you shouldn’t say that to your customers you should just say you should just say okay you know I mean if the customer asks you nicely not to do something you know you know put your differences aside okay it’s not that hard b

We order pizza online every Friday, and pick up at this location. Me and “pizza hut” have special 12 year old relationship that no other pizza place can break BUT since we move often sometimes we don’t have good experiences with locations. WE GOT VERY LUCKY WITH THIS MONROE LOCATION. They didn’t mess up my orders not even once. One time my hubby went to pick up pizza here after work and pizza hut workers didn’t have my favorite “garlic sauce”, he told them that he can’t get home without this sauce because his wife will be mad and asked them to give him something “Garlicky”. So they did. I was happy 🙂

I want to give a huge shout out about an amazing manager “Mike” at 551 N Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48162! He is amazing, and was so nice. Called me because of my breadsticks. Still got them delivered. He is so very kind, he is a keeper pizza hut! He could use a raise with showing he cared, his customer service, calling when he didn’t have to. Most people do not show this anymore. Mike you are AWESOME!

The food was very good. That being said I miss the 80s and 90s. The food was just better then. I think they added to many convinces for the employees. My toppings were sparse. Considering I paid extra for most of them.
