We’ve lived in the area 10 years and it’s the best pizza we’ve had. From the New Haven area/pizza haven and Pizza Hero is a contender for sure. Definitely on the list when family comes to town now. It was fresh ingredients, perfect crust, not sloppy– what a gem, really. Mr. Pizza Hero brought it right out to us, great service and nice guy, and just can’t drive home enough: delicious pizza. Worth the stop and try!

Nice! A true wood fired pizza. Nice little char as you’d expect. Im a crispy fan and ordered well done. I like the Greek style you can get around the area but if you’re looking for somthing great and different, check them out.

Best pizza I’ve had since being in the area so far! The crust is amazing with exactly the wood fired flavor I’ve been craving but hadn’t found until today! For me it’s the crust which makes a pizza delicious. Everything on top is just icing on the cake. Will definitely be back!

The woodfire gives it its own unique flavor compared to other local joints. Surprisingly smaller than I expected, and for the prices when compared to other M/L pie options. Good fresh taste. Not too heavy (Bread),or overly sauced; overall well balance. Nice thinner pizza, with a crispier edge- although not completely rock hard like other “thin & crispy” options. Not too crispy, Not too soft. Filling enough without overdoing it! All around we were quite happy with this unique find at Protectworth Brewing! Thank you for sharing your passion. While it is a food truck, be aware you’ll pay premium prices– but for a premium product.
I think some of the negative reviewers here were expecting more conventional food truck prices and lack the experience or palette to understand the quality of the food here. Those folks ought to head back over to Dominos. 🙂
