Pizza By The Sea – Gulf Place
Reviews
Rob is the real deal. Best pizza chef in the world and an even better guy. You can tell he genuinely cares about every pie that comes out of the kitchen. The crust is perfect, the balance is spot on, and it’s always hot and fresh. Locals know it, visitors figure it out fast.
As a local realtor who spends most days showing homes around 30A, this is the kind of neighborhood staple I point out to buyers. Walkable spots, golf cart living, familiar faces, and food that never disappoints. Pizza by the Sea isn’t just a pizza place, it’s part of what makes Gulf Place feel like home.
The food was ok, we had 2 slices of pizza and a side salad.
The pizza was tasty but probably would be better a little longer in the oven. Salad was really where the 5 star lost a point. Wilted lettuce throughout, but we had a pleasant time, just before lunch on Thursday the 12th. We would come and ask for pizza to be put through the oven again.
Atmosphere was pleasant, Mathew did great, we went the beach after
To easy to eat, because the flavor is great, so be careful you may eat more than you intended!’ ☀️
Service/cashier for Togo order was super sweet, efficient and friendly.
Delicious thin pizza… both locations I’ve tried have been “Yum!”
The real frustration is the fees. I expect to pay a “vacation premium” for standard pizza in this area, but adding a 3% credit card fee and a 10% automatic gratuity makes the pricing feel predatory.
The pizza itself is fine. nothing bad, but nothing that stands out either. If you’re willing to drive a few minutes off 98, there are better options without the hidden costs.

Modifying to 4 stars based on the response of the restaurant. Thanks for taking feedback constructively!
I’ve dropped off at least 50 people here to this pizza by the sea. I’ve finally tried it out.
Basics. Flavor of pizza mediocre at best. Staff in kitchen – no hair nets. In an unbearable humid, hot up stairs kitchen. I waited 30 min for a takeout, good with that.
Let’s get down to the brass tax. This place charged me 32.98 for a 3 topping pizza. Made me wait in an unbearable sweaty upstairs. With fans that looked like they were dusted a decade ago. Someone please tell me what a to-go tax is?
Don’t waste your time in this place. Obviously they are gauging people. You’re better off ordering from a chain. Tastes the same. In my future. I’ll recommend other places to my riders. And NO. I will not email pizza by the sea more information about my experience. Was disappointed enough, I shouldn’t have to relive that memory.
