Excellent New York style thin crust pizza. The crust is flavorful and has a good amount of chew. The garlic knots are buttery and amazing. Another great addition to the incredible Ballyhoo Hospitality group!

Love this pizza! We badly needed this on the north shore. All the specialty pizzas are delicious, as are the Italian entree items! YUM! Only wish were there were smaller sizes available!

Excellent and authentic NY style pizza! So happy I found ny style pizza in this area. Had a slice of cheese…crust was perfect, cheese had that perfect tang and the sauce was just the right amount of sweet. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking ny pizza.

This is the pizza place I’ve been looking and waiting for since I moved to this area. As someone from the north east coast of New Jersey. This is the best New York style pizza you can find at the moment.

Great pizza. Glenview didn’t have this type of pizza nearby until now. Great pepperoni and garlic knots were awesome. Make sure to order early since they can be a little busy. Lots of good baked goods if you’re waiting on your pizza.

Sal’s has hyped a “family meal” deal for awhile now, so when we needed a last minute dinner for four people, I placed an order. First of all, thre promotion says it’s $75, but it’s actually $77 before taxes and tip. You get a limited choice of pizza (sausage or cheese or pepperoni), a choice of salad (Caesar or chopped), and a choice of pasta, as well as garlic knots, tiramisu and a bottle of wine. They do not specify how many people this deal will serve, which is problem number two. I had assumed that it would be enough for four people, but except for the pizza, which is pretty big, the other portions only satisfactorily serve about two people. The salad was very small, as was the tiramisu serving. The pasta had two meatballs and we got exactly four small garlic knots. The wine choice was red or white table wine and it was ok. All in all, it’s a nice idea but somewhat falsely advertised. There is much better pizza to be had at Napolita and elsewhere in the Chicago area. And if course, everything at any Ballyhoo restaurant is overpriced. The space itself is incredibly tiny and too small to accommodate everyone waiting. There was only one person behind the counter and she had to put everything together for my order, so it wasn’t actually ready for me to just pick up. I doubt we will be back, even though we live within walking distance.

Finally a place where you can grab a NY-style slice or large pie. Crust is tender, thin and crisp and the toppings are high quality. The price is very fair as these are 16″ pies.

I know Buck Russell’s got a positive review from me, but I really don’t think Pizza by Sal’s justifies their prices. The pizza itself isn’t very good and you can get better ones at lefty’s or big tomato. Everything is super pricey even though a lot of the stuff you can get anywhere else but cheaper.

Stopped in to grab a quick slice and sat outside. Amazing New York style pizza; it was thin, crispy and chewy. Great service too!
