I always read reviews before I post. Human nature interests me, and I love reading others’ opinions. So here’s my comments on others’ reviews, and here is my review.

I travel a lot. 300-500 miles a day, sometimes further and sometimes multiple states. I have this weird addiction to trying different Taco Bell locations and trying random slices of pizza from random places and even pizza chains because I’m curious how different places can make pizza taste in different ways. Even breakfast pizza.

What I want to say is for those complaining about how the pizza has changed over the years…. For starters our taste buds can change every 7 years. Second, things just change in general. It’s a natural part of life. Nothing stays the same. Human nature is to reject change, so think about your opinion and other factors before being so negative. These people work hard, and sometimes things aren’t exact, but to say something along the lines of, “it’s been great until this one time. So I won’t be back.” You’re only hurting yourself by missing out on this incredibly delicious pizza. Try to remember other good times, don’t hate something or someone for a single mistake. Besides, mistakes are how we grow. Feedback is great, but also, in reality, you’re a single customer. You’re not going to break their bank.

My review;

This is absolutely the best pizza I’ve ever had. I remember it tasting exactly this way every time my parents would buy it when I was a kid. This was a very joyous moment in our household because I grew up poor, and the price of this pizza is definitely worth every penny. So when we got Mr. Scrib’s pizza, it was like a holiday.

I moved out to Grand Rapids years ago, and I have tried damn near every pizza joint out here… people rave over Fricano’s, Vito’s pizza, and a few others, but imo they taste like generic pizza. I literally miss Mr. Scrib’s pizza every time I try a slice from a different place.

From Muskegon to Chicago to Pennsylvania, to Washington DC, I’m telling you from experience, there is not a better tasting pizza than Mr. Scrib’s. You literally cannot see the map of Michigan from all my pinged locations in Michigan alone on Google maps.

The crust has crispy edges, yet soft to chew. The cheese is just right and even sometimes crispy on the edges as well. The combination of how the flavors meld together is literally perfect. And what I find to be the best part is that when you add toppings, they aren’t skimpy. They actually add toppings to the pizza. All the other places charge the same price for toppings, but you get very few added ingredients for the price.

As for the price, these pizzas could sell for a lot more than $20 for a large 1 topping. I’m very tight with my money but if Mr. Scrib’s had a location in Grand Rapids. I’d part ways with $30 or more every Friday.

I usually buy a pizza to give away to a random homeless person once a week, (It’s my way of tithing). That being said, if Mr. Scrib’s was in Grand Rapids, you’d definitely be my guy! So you should think about a location out this way! But stay away from alpine, that street is a busy mess.

I want to say Thank You, Mr. Scrib’s, for being part of the good memories from my childhood and making such a wonderful pizza. I appreciate you and all of your employees and all of their hard work.

Your crust may be thin, but YOU rise above the rest.

If you love, Mr. Scripps stay away from here this place has the most inconsistent pizza I’ve ever had at a Mr. Scribz first off. It is supposed to be thin today. It was super thick sometimes it’s doughy sometimes it’s way overdone sometimes it’s somewhat thin sometimes it’s like a deep dish. This will be my last time going here. The Mr. Scripps on Laketon or Henry is the way to go stay away from this one

Ordered takeout last week, ordered a pizza and chicken tenders with ranch. The person who picked up the phone to take my order was rude and had an attitude, some older gentleman by the sounds of it.
We ended up finding a bone in one of the chicken tenders, and we also didn’t get the ranch, but that ruined my girlfriend’s appetite. The pizza was correct, but tastes like frozen dough and there’s little sauce and very greasy.

I wanted to get Scribs after I found a menu from 2018 in my cupboard. I went online and noticed Prices on some items almost tripled, most sides a little more than doubled, and a 16-inch deluxe is about 7 dollars more. Instantly changed my mind and paid the same price for Bernios.

Good pizza, good price. Toppings are generous. They add a little more crisp than I like. If that’s your style then 5 stars

Leaving this review after being kept on hold for over 15 minutes after calling over half a dozen times just trying to get a hold of the place. Love the pizza, but whoever is running the phone is doing a terrible job. Incredibly unavailable all the time. Terrible, terrible shame. Absolutely disrespectful of my time and money.

We called to put in a pickup order the receiver on the other line was rude obnoxious. It was a man. When we got there to pick our order up it was not even done so they never received our order but did remember the phone number and the conversation. When we got home we were supposed to get a half a pound of cauliflower received mushrooms which we didn’t order onion rings that was so hard we couldn’t bite in them. I will not come back to your establishment I will find somewhere else to go. I have been getting pizza from you for about 40 years it’s a shame that it’s went down the hill this fast
Regardless of overwhelmed business doesn’t mean that it’s our fault they shouldn’t take it out on us because they’re busy bye

The pizza is delicious. Highly recommend. However, do not get the cheesy breadsticks. I thought I was going to get breadsticks with cheese on top. They were really Bosco sticks with cheese in the middle. Had I known, I wouldn’t have wasted $8 on it. The breadsticks I received were browned on top, but the bottom and inside were raw. I was pretty bummed.

This pizza tastes nothing like Mr. Scribbs.
Dough(crust) is tasteless, the sauce is so different (its not what it used to be), the cheese is so thin that it doesn’t even cover the pizza all the way, plus it’s burnt.
