Wow, though I’ve been to spots in Lake City for work or recreation for years, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten at Pizza Boy. Many people have told me that the food was good . I finally stopped by and got a Stromboli! It was yummy! I like that they give you enough sauce for every bit of Stromboli . The only thing was that I wish the sauce was hot (temperature).

This place is THE BEST Italian takeout – hands down. I come all the way from Gainesville to enjoy this place with my family. It’s so good! Everything is made from scratch– &if it isn’t, you cannot tell! The pizza is what started our love for this place. Tonight we explored more of their menu. My husband got Baked Ziti w/meatballs & it was such a huge portion, that he’ll have lunch for tomorrow. We give the bake Ziti an 8.8 , absolutely amazing! I wanted the Philly sandwich? However, they were out of rolls because they are made fresh daily & it’s 6:30pm on a Tuesday. So, instead I got the Ranch Chicken Wrap, which was the best wrap ever, I added bacon, however they forgot to add it. I still give the wrap a 9.5 out of 10. The wrap was definitely made from scratch. So delicious! My daughter had the Chef Salad, she would give the salad a 7 out of 10. Which is understandable as it was iceberg lettuce instead of romaine. Sprucing the quality would definitely give the salad a better score. My son had the Spaghetti & meatballs, he said he would rate it a 5.7 out of 10. Said more seasoning & to add parmesan cheese. I personally thought the sauce should have been thicker. The Garlic knots were great! I would rate them 8.6. The cinnamon knots were freaking amazing, with the icing being an additional $1 charge I feel it’s not something you should be charged for ..it should come with it. I would give the Cinnamon knots without the icing a 7.5, & with it would be a 9.7 . We loved them so much we bought a baker’s dozen to take home with 5 additional icing . .icing is made from scratch as well. We also, bought a 16in pizza which was good, but something tasted like something was missing..?? Not sure if they missed a step or changed the recipe . The dough was harder & way more denser…why change something that was perfect ?

Atmosphere here totally sucks! Its very oudated & not a friendlyatmosphere hardly any seating whatsoever. The patio furniture inside this place should be a joke. There werent enough bar stools at the bar counter…they definitely need to expand. I could see this Italian takeout place becoming an amazing restaurant. It only takes a little imagination & passion. Honestly though, this place would be the best Italian restaurant in lake city if they would just relocate & add dining!

I love this place! When I am working in Lake City, I make a point to get lunch from Pizza Boy. I usually get the pizza roll lunch special but I have also gotten the pizzas and everything so far has been amazing!

50 minute sitting in the lobby. They forgot to put in my order and multiple people who came in 20 minutes after me left right before me. Very frustrating and no apology when the mistake was realized. Cussing behind the counter as well. Good pizza though.

The employees were wonderful the pizza and garlic knots were some of the best I’ve had. I will definitely be going back and I will definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends. I give Pizza Boy two thumbs up

Took advantage of a facebook special and I’d say for their prices for the pies are fair. The people running it are nice and I liked the little atmosphere inside, especially the beta fish. I’ve had better and worse pizzas for more money so I say this place has a good middle ground for cost and quality. They also have a variety of menu items but I got a pepperoni pizza

Service was great, super friendly and fast. I got a slice of pizza, garlic knots, and soda. Pizza was delicious, kind of greasy but sometimes that’s a vibe. Garlic knots had a perfect garlicy butter sauce but raw dough in the middle. Disappointed because I love garlic knots and I can tell they would have been great if edible.

1st time trying them and they didn’t disappoint at all! Had the meat lovers pizza!! Meats were high quality and pizza was fantastic! Garlic knots were ordered with extra garlic and SO GOOD! Absolutely recommend if you looking for. A small local pizza joint!

Pizza Boy pizza had the best garlic knots in Florida. We would drive almost an hr away to get them. PIZZA BOY, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THEM??? They are overcooked and don’t taste like they used to.
