The pizza here is a fantastic NY style and is sized accordingly. My family usually only orders medium-sized pies that would large for other places. They have a quaint place to eat in-house, but we prefer to order it to-go.

My dad introduced me to this pizza in 1970. Back then it was called Pizzaria Italia. Same owner today. It is still my “go to” pizza. The owner came over from Italy and trained in New York City back in the 1960’s. When my dad died in 2014, Al came to my dad’s funeral and provided us with free pizza for the reception. Great family as well as pizza.

Growing up here you quickly learn the city of Morgantown is full of rivalries (MHS vs. UHS / South vs. Suncrest / Rio vs. Los Mariachis)… well the pizza game is no different. Al’s is the OG who has been slinging pizza to WVU fans for generations: Best crust anywhere outside of NY, good sauce, crispy small Pep’s, and HUGE Motown Flop. There’s no debate Al’s is the best football pizza around plus you get 5ft of it for less then 1% of your stimulus check… I mean what more could you want!
